It is the second I bought it, the first was given to my mom, it is very easy to carry while you travel.

I am in love with my Kindle. It has everything I was looking for and more. It is extremely easy to use and small enough to carry it with me in my bag.

I love this tablet. It is great for indoor reading as well as outdoors. The back lighting makes it ideal for indoor spaces that are not well lit.

Had debated getting a kindle but not sure what to get. The paperwhite is perfect just the right size, ease of use, and storage.

I love my Kindle PaperWhite, it synchronized with my IPad and transferred my previous purchases without me having to do anything really. There is a charging cord in the box but depending on what you have at home you might need a wall charger to plug the cord into. I had a power strip which had USB ports in it already and it works great. However if your traveling or carrying it to work you might want to by an all in one wall charger, and or car charger. It does hold a charge for a long time which is also impressive.

I bought this primarily for reading at night without a nightlight as to not disturb my wife. It has been perfect for that and normal reading conditions. I was nervous to move away from actual books, but it has not been as bad as I initially thought.

I had to replace my Kindle Key Board which was 8years old. I went with the paperwhite really not sure if I would like the touch screen or not. I have decided I really do like it. I also love the light. I can read in bed and not disturb my husband. The battery life is amazing two weeks so far on a charge and I really like it is connected to WiFi, my old one you had to turn WiFi off or it would die quicker. All in all a beautiful reader. I did get a case for it is very thin and I am good at dropping thing.

I upgraded to this from a Kindle Keyboard, so it was huge upgrade. Holds more books and has a back light. The light is fairly uniform but not so bright that it will bother the person next to you. Battery lasts a good long while and it is easy to read in direct sunlight too.

I had an old Kindle and this product is a lot easier to hold. I like the feel of the screen when turning the pages it almost feels like real paper.

Easy to use, love that I can download a free book each month since I am an Amazon prime member. Very light. Perfect way to read at the beach.

Bought this as a gift. The recipient has been very happy with it. She says she's reading more because it is so portable and well lit.

If you like to read but don't want a lot of clutter, or just don't have the space for dozens of books on your shelf then this is the solution. The layout is simple to use and the screen is perfect. Reading in direct sunlight isn't an issue thanks to the matte finish of the e-ink display. The battery on this thing will outlast any other electronic you have in your house. My only complaint/issue is that as a avid reader off comic books, this device thanks to the nature of the display don't allow me to enjoy my favorite medium.

I bought this as an upgrade to the kindle fire that I bought my wife 3 years ago. She says that it is easier to read and loves the smaller size.

Kindle is great as long as you only use it to read books. The web interface is pretty rough, so I put books on it straight from my computer. I love that you can e-mail files directly to your kindle! The lighting is also much improved from the last time I had an e-reader (the Nook) and is perfect whether you're reading inside, outside, or in the dark.

Old Kindle first edition broke so I purchased this Kindle. Great product! New and improved. Super lightweight and love the background light.

This is an excellent choice for an e-reader. I purchased it specifically for a vacation in the sun. It did a great job, was easy to use and overall allowed me to easily read out in the bright sun. the backlit display at night was very nice and makes reading a breeze anytime without problem. I have an older nook book that is color. I chose the amazon version so that I could subscribe to the unlimited monthly reading program. in comparison between the 2 brands I do like the nook better for easy of moving between pages - I haven't figured that out quite yet on the kindle, but I'm sure it's quite easy. there's also no person that I can quickly drop into the store to ask a question on how to do something. if you are a person who likes being shown how to use a device. I know my mom who is 80 might have a little problem with some getting the screen at the top to pull down but 95% of the people most likely won't. Best thing I like and am glad I invested was the backlight.

I bought this as a replacement for my Amazon - Kindle Paperwhite High Resolution the few minor things that were different were added plus but nothing to really stand alone I noticed it was crisper and the light was much better then the previous one.
