Compact, great look without that super bright look of tablets that seems to strain my eyes when reading for a while. Not much as far as tablet features, but as just an e-reader this is the best out there for now

I was a little hesitant in buying a kindle. I thought it would take away the feeling of reading a hard cover book. I love the kindle. I don't regret buying it. I love that I can store all my books on this device.

Excellent product. I did extensive research before purchasing my new kindle. This is the third kindle I've had. Only problem with kindle is that their charging port becomes loose and will not charge your kindle.

Light and easy to read, battery lasts a good while. The built-in light makes it a pleasure to use at night in bed.

This new paperwhite was purchased to replace an older 2nd Gen Kindle. This one is bright, easy to read and small.

I simply love my E reader it gives me the opportunity to carry my textbooks my reading for fun books everywhere I go in one convenient little technical device. I would highly recommend this to any avid readers out there so you don’t have to carry multiple books around. I like it a lot because it is a dedicated E reader it will not be distracted with solitaire games searching email and various other tasks that we tend to do with the tablet. .

Ordered this while it was on sale to replace an old one that no longer charged. Love having the adjustable internal light, as I can keep it fairly dim at night while I'm reading so it doesn't bother my fiance. It doesn't cause the eye strain that reading on my phone does, and I love having so many books in the palm of my hand! Great for when we're on vacation and I'm swinging in a hammock by the lake!

I bought this for my wife who just uses it for reading really. You can do other things like any other tablet. This is just really lite weight and easy to use. Plus its smaller than the ipads and other tablet that you'd have to carry around.

I had the kindle keyboard before and got the paper white for Christmas and really like. I can read I any light I no longer have to have a light attached to my kindle to read before bed. Pretty simple to use.

My entire family members including my kids are very pleased for buying this product. I can buy books but I usually borrow ebooks from local library through overdrive.com. Highly recommend!

Kindle Paperwhite strikes a nice balance between features and price. Amazon offers the best store for eBooks period. If you are looking to bring your reading hobby to the 21st century, you cannot go wrong.

I’ve been reading on the kindle app for years but to have a glare free screen with a backlight is just heaven. I didn’t think I needed a kindle. I even had an old iPad mini that stayed on my nightstand just to read but as I’m now late 60’s with cataracts and do lots of travel so read in the car, it is harder and harder to read with the glare. I should have bought the paper white years ago. The ads are, as others have mentioned, unobtrusive.
