I finally got one for myself, mother has one already. I have tablets that serve there purpose, but, nothing beats the Paperwhite for reading books.

Easy to read even in bright sunshine. Simple to set-up and use. Long battery life.

I love the Paperwhite and we have had Kindles in the house for years. This Paperwhite is as snappy as the Voyage and while it doesn't have that smooth glass screen, it also doesn't have the extra $100 or so price tag. It's a great piece of tech that often goes on sale. Get it when it does. It's well worth it.

The Kindle paper white is great for anyone who likes to read on the run. The clarity of the type and the lack of glare make this perfect for any reading environment.

Product is very light and easy to carry around. Overall I am satisfied.

Got it as a birthday gift. Am an avid reader and this ensures I am never without reading material. All the free kindle books are an added bonus.

Easy to read and works in all lighting. Better then my previous nook.

Third one I've had. Love reading on it. Can read in bright sun or dark. Other 2 lasted about 3 years. Only wish they lasted longer without freezing up. Can carry many books either from public library, kindle app, bookbub, or other sources. Free books abound.

I purchased a Kindle reader a few years ago and wasn't impressed but this one is much lighter and has an easier to read screen...and it's backlit for night reading. This one is a keeper.

The screen is well lit and easy to read. The compact size is also quite nice.

I never owned one so I can’t say much other then that it was on the Xmas wishlist of 4 people so I got it when it went on sale on Black Friday.

My first tablet! I was surprised it's just like my Samsung phone, and actually can sync programs and data with it. The wireless is great; I have no need for cell capabilities. It would be more power usage to search for cell, and most places I can use wi-fi. I use it as an alternative Kindle reader with the Kindle app. I also was amazed to find a free Microsoft Office Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, etc, although I haven't used them. This Tab A is sometimes kind of slow, but it was about $100 on sale, and great for the price. Very versatile. I'm very happy with it. I haven't needed extra memory yet, but good to know I can expand it with a microSD card.

So much easier to read on this. The light helps too. Although having a nice hard cover in the hands is still nice

I bought this to read in the sunlight by our community pool and it works very good. I couldn't use my tablet because it was to bright outside.

Bought this for my aunt who could no longer enjoy reading books due to her very poor vision and she loves it. The only problem she has is when unwanted windows pop up; she's not very tech-savvy and doesn't know how to get rid of them.

I simply love it. At first I thought reading black and white content on a iPad would be a similar experience and reading on iPad or iPhone is similar and no need for kindle. But kindle is different and for me it's better than reading a physical book. It's so cool to carry around thousands of books at any time. Battery goes on and on and on. Excellent piece of hardware.

My wife likes to read in bed and the bath, the light doesnt wake me up and she hasnt had any problems in bath but she tries not to get it wet.
