Bought for my wife for mothers day, as she wanted something to read in the sunshine this summer, and it performs amazingly in that respect. We have iPads and regular Kindle Fire units (the kids), but only this one can be read in any light, any time of day. Only 4 stars as I'm not sure why terribly more expensive than the Fire units, but it solves for those who like to read under sunlight at the beach or by the pool, couldn't be clearer.

The size makes this e-reader very portable, and it’s great for both reading while traveling and reading at night. Due to traveling frequently, I find it hard to buy and carry around paperback books. This has been a great alternative.

I love my new kindle. I bought one earlier this summer for myself and just recently for my ten year old. One function that is awesome is its ability to work with the audible application. I can read on my kindle then audible will pick up where I left off, so I can continue with the read during my commute. My kindle will then propose to move my place to where I left off in audible. It has made my commute very purposeful because I am able to read literature for work a lot more efficiently. This may have been one of the smartest purchases I have ever made for professional development!

Works great and holds a charge forever. Looks as if I'm actually reading from paper.

Love that the screen is glare proof. Makes reading outside a wonderful experience, especially when on the beach. The adjustable back lit screen is a thing of beauty when reading in the dark. This device trumps using a tablet for reading.

Amazon Kindle has be very convenient. My wife carries it everywhere and just whips it out to read at anytime. She's not electronic savvy, but downloads books from the library easily. Screens excellent for veiwing in all light situations

I love Kindle e-readers. In fact I had purchased 4 paperwhites over the years. The design is absolutely amazing. It is my most favorite device for long reading. Tablets like iPad are no comparison on this. I also believe this is the best gifts for kids.

I was hesitant at first about the touch screen, but the Paperwhite has proven the perfect upgrade to my Kindle Keyboard 3G. The screen is responsive and the resolution is crisp. Well done, Amazon.

I've had almost every Kindle at this point, but recently got my Wife the basic Kindle to see if she would like ebooks over paper books. She loved reading the books on her Kindle and the ability to travel with many books at all times. She struggled with the lack of a back light on the basic model though. I picked up the Paperwhite before we went on our last trip together, and she has not put it down since. She feels it is the perfect model. I personally went from the Paperwhite to the Voyager, and believe that the Paperwhite is by far the better value in the Kindle line. Dont get me wrong, I love the Voyager, however it is a nice to have where there are no features that it has over the Paperwhite that I could not live without. TLDR: The Paperwhite is best product in the Kindle Line-up.
