Kids approved: good size you can hold with 1 hand, long battery life had it for 2 weeks since release and haven’t charge yet, easy on the eyes like reading a physical book with option of dark mode at night, no distraction with other apps, you can borrow ebook from local library and send to kindle.

The Kindle is exactly what I was hoping for. I wanted something lightweight and easy to use. I especially like the brightness and warmth setting features so I can read at night without bothering my husband.

This product came exactly as I expected. The Kindle was fairly easy to use out of the box, there were a few gestures we needed to look up. The case is sturdy and cute. Really nice that it comes with warranty as well. You can use this version for your kid or just for yourself.

Love the case and bigger screen. Not using it for kids and still works great.

While this is aimed at kids, the hardware is the same Kindle Paperwhite 12th generation, just with an included cover and the addition of the Amazon Kids+ subscription. The cover is fine - this one doesn't look particularly childish, and it protects the screen when closed, and has a sleep/wake function built-in. Since receiving this and getting it set up, I've read 7 books and several novellas. It's just so much more convenient to carry than a paper book, and much easier to read in bed before going to sleep. Solid hardware if you have a lot of books in the Amazon ecosystem.

A great device for kids. This is a high quality kindle reader (black and white only) that has great looking text and smooth page turning. Pretty easy to setup, though the added steps of making an account for your kiddo were a bit cumbersome. Once that is done it works great, and comes with six months of kindle unlimited, which has a great selection of books for both kids and young adults. Got this for my 15 year old daughter and she loves it, though the cover is a bit cutesy for her.

I bought the kid version for myself because it was cheaper than the regular paperwhite.I love it I read while at the beach and by my pool.Very light weight and battery last a long tine.

This thing is great. The wife reads daily and has gone through at least four novels since December 2024 and has only had to charge the thing twice. Excellent batty life and it easy in the eyes in low to no light

Love it and use it as an adult. it was on sale so I bought it for myself and all I had to do was exit out of kid mode and use it like a regular paper white. I love it so much. It’s light and I travel with it and read outside, which I can’t do on my iPad mini. The brightness is perfect, and I like the warm light feature as well. I love that it’s waterproof just in case.

Bought the kids version and removed the case. Set up like all my previous kindles but this thing is AMAZING! LONGGGG battery and the adjustable “paper” tone is so good!

My daughter really loves her nook and reading her books on her nook. She’s really excited.! She wants to download a lot of books on her New E reader! I know she was excited when we first bought it she wants to use it a lot more! Thank you, Best Buy!!

My granddaughter loves the Kindle we purchased for her 13th birthday! She has read several books already and shares her reading experiences with grandma (my wife).

Even though this is marketed as a “kids” kindle, I love it as an adult bc I spend a lot of time outside and by the pool so I love the added features.

Shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. Easy to set up. Purchased the kids version for myself as I know from other people that it's the same device. Great if you love reading and are running out of space for books in your house. The cover is very nice as well.

My daughter spends at least an hour every day reading new books, and between the ones included with Prime and the ones she has requested she has been able to cover a wide variety of titles. The device is quick, smooth, and after a brief learning curve logical and easy to use. Will definitely get another one.

Bought for my 8 year old. He lives it!! He takes it to school and to summer camp. Great for reading in the car and during long trips.

Wife carries this around with her wherever she goes. She also reads on her phone, but the battery on this thing just keeps going and going. Great for road trips

My grand daughter loves her new kindle. She is in college and loves to read, but didn’t have tome or room to carry around physical books. Now she can read anytime and anywhere.
