I love the size, feel, etc. I highly recommend getting the leather Kindle cover - custom made for it, and it protects it. Most importantly, it turns it on and off when you open and close the cover - very nice. The ads say the battery lasts for 2 months, but mine lasts for about a week, although I read a lot, and usually at night with the built in light on - I think the light drains the battery very fast. Make sure you set it up to refresh every page automatically, otherwise you get "ghost" letters and the words on the page are not so crisp. It is fantastic to read out in the sun - don't need the built-in light, and there is no glare. I love it so far. Can't comment about durability since I have had it for only about a month.

This works just like any magnetic tablet cover you may have used. Closing it will put the reader to sleep, and opening it will wake it up. My only complaint is that it is bulkier than I thought it would be. The plastic and cover are both thick, doubling the thickness of the reader. It is good for protection, just be aware of the size of you're looking for something very minimal.
