I received this as a gift along with the Kindle. I felt it wasn't necessary as it was more than half the cost of the Kindle to begin with! Also defeated the purpose of having a lightweight device - just added bulk and weight. The purple color is heinous to boot. If you're someone who is hard on your electronics though, go for it.
