I actually really liked this case, but the whole time I had it on my kindle, my kindle would go into sleep mode randomly a lot. I called Amazon support and the first thing they asked was if I had the origami case. Apparently the magnets are placed in the wrong spot and will put your kindle into sleep mode randomly. I returned it to Best Buy and have not had that problem since. If not for that it would have been 4 stars at least.

This is a plastic case that can work as a stand for your kindle. The plastic quality is cheap though.

it would be a lot better if it came in a variety of colors. it doesn't fold up or prop up easily.

As a cover it works just fine, but foldable stand feature is a bit awkward.

Take your Kindle with you before you get any case.

Bought it and returned it 4 days later. Cheaply made. Kinda of like a mix between rubber and plastic, the origami flaps do not hold together and the Kindle falls down. Tried to get it to stay up for /12 hour straight with no luck.

Not much choice for me. There were no other ones. Would have liked to have a selection. This was the only on offered.

I dont like how it just sits on the cover, nothing to strap it in. Donts seam secure

Bought this as a gift for my father for Christmas to go with the Kindle Fire. He loves the case! Easy to use and protects the kindle! Lite weight and sturdy. Great buy!

Works perfect. I love how sleek it looks. I can watch Netflix now with out having to prop my kindle up against something.

This case is the official case issued by Amazon for the Kindle Fire HDX. The front of the case looks like an origami design. That is because when you fold it behind the tablet and then fold it again it becomes a stand for either horizontal or vertical use. It's very clever and very cool. Now I'm not sure if it's due to the weird on off layout of the Kindle Fire HDX or super strong magnets in the case, but whenever I fold the case back (like if I'm reading a book# the device will shut off randomly -- as in go to sleep. I have to hit the power button and then unlock. I have tried two different HDX origami cases and have had the problem on both. I have tried on two different HDX 7" kindles #one cellular and one wifi) and have had the issue on both. Without the case I don't have this problem. So either when I'm holding the case, I'm moving it ever so slightly that the sleep button is pressed by accident, OR the magnets which put the device to sleep are so strong they are convincing the tablet that the cover is closed. Either way, it's annoying, it's frustrating and it's not worth having the case, especially a $50 case. This is going back to BB and hopefully I can find something that does what this case does as a stand but doesn't put it to sleep.

This case looked great! With fun folding feature for tablet to stand up while in case. I did not read closely so my tablet did not fit it, so I was disappointed in my self for not looking more closely.

Despite this case functioning great and protecting the kindle, it weighs practically just as much as the device. It seems the magnets that so cleverly keep it inside the case also add a lot of grams to the overall weight. I find myself not using the case because it make the reader heavy.
