The Ryzen 5 3600 is a great CPU and is awesome for a mid tier gaming rig that will handle the duties of everything from internet surfing, gaming, streaming, and powerpoint rangering, etc - all at the same time... do yourself a favor and skip the AMD R7 2700 for this CPU, unless you can take full advantage of the additional cores/threads (read as workstation/productivity). The stock cooler fan is acceptable, but an upgraded cooler will be much quieter with additional thermal overhead.

Great Budget CPU for Gaming! Read a lot of reviews before buying if you’re strictly building a gaming pc buy this cpu and wait until the new AMD CPUs drop in price before upgrading. All use AM4 boards and 4 core CPUs will get you through the next 2-3 years. Super happy with the performance I get when combo’ed with my 5700 xt GPU.

Great 6-core CPU for $200, perfect for gaming at 1440p when paired with a RTX 3070. I've had it for about 3 months now and so far there have been zero issues. If you're looking to use your PC to play games and do light-moderate productivity/school work, you really don't need those extra cores in a ryzen 7/9 or core i7/i9. Save your money and use it elsewhere in your build, the 3600 is more than enough for most people.

Not only is this CPU fast it has been running very cool. I moved up from a quad core intel system when it died and I am so glad I did. I am running it stock and have no issue at all. Much faster than my old system. I use my system for Adobe Premiere and 4k video and cannot believe the difference from my old system using proxies just to make it usable. It even comes with a CPU cooler, which even though it seemed to be doing fine, I upgraded to a Noctua which has been utterly silent.

When you need to power through things like video rendering and other CPU heavy tasks, this processor is amazing. I haven't even overclocked it yet, but this processor was a huge upgrade from where we were before. This paired with an M.2 drive for the OS / applications, A nice big optical drive for storage, good RAM, and even a basic graphics card (we aren't big gamers) has made a very fast powerful machine for our home.

Excellent performance for value. After the recent bios update, it is more stable and faster. Great for gaming as well. The included fan is good, not great. If you are using in a warmer room, I would say get a better heatsink fan or maybe water cooled. My machine is a cool basement.

What can I say, its a Ryzen 5 3600 Processor, 5 stars all the time, excels in everything, everything about this processor is perfect, except the wraith cooler that comes with it, it is TRASH, I recommend getting a better cooler asap, a great option being the CoolerMaster 212 Evo (I have it, perfect cooler ever) Or if you have more bread a schyte fuma 2 (performs the same as noctua's award winning dh15 but much cheaper) 100/100

Upgrading to this from an FX-8350 was like trading out a trampoline for a rocket ship. This chip is an insanely great value, even at MSRP. Typical operating is smooth as butter, apps load in no time whatsoever. Gaming is incredible, with lower settings allowing huge frame rates for many titles. Given that the price has only dropped since launch, I can't recommend this chip enough. Even on a cheap B450 motherboard, this chip is bound to be excellent.
