So far this CPU has been perfect for my needs. I primarily edit at 1080p in Premiere Pro, and paired with some 3600mhz cs16 16gb ram, this CPU performs beautifully and uses no more than half of its power to run the tasks I put it up to. Hard to beat the power per price point here.

The performance is great, can easily be used for 4k 60fps aaa titles, i cant because i only have a gtx 1070 but that is no fault of the cpu, overall amazing deal, just be careful about the boost clock on the stock cooler, it gets quite toasty but if you leave it at 3.6ghz with the stock cooler the temps will be pretty good. 10/10 would reccomend

My Chip overclocks to 4.375 ghz! Great for pairing with a GTX 1660 super to a RTX 2060. Lots of headroom. This chip is right on par with a i7 7700k wich is a 380$ cpu. This is just right for todays standards. All around Beast

Put this in an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max with a Corsair 650 Watt PSU, 32 GB Corsair Dominator DDR4 3200 RAM, EVGA 1660 Ti video card, and a 1 TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 NVME SSD for a birthday gift to my wife. The machine runs smooth as silk, no problem with OS installation, drivers, or anything else. Solid CPU when backed with other solid components. Happy wife, happy life.

I finally made the transition from my FX-8350 processor to the 3rd Gen Ryzen 5 after many years of putting it off (storm killed my mobo, and needed my computer for work). I saw a noticeable improvement when it came to gaming and running virtual machines. Best bang for your buck!

It's a great CPU and is even better when you put in better cooling so you can overclock it. Even then, at stock with the stock cooler, most people will be very happy using it for work and gaming. If you're going to do video editing, especially 4k editing, I recommend getting a better CPU cooler because it will run hot.

I bought this for and upgrade from my ryzen 3 2300 that came in my cyberpower pc. had to return the first one due to bent pins but store swapped it out no issues and was up and running in just a few min of getting home. I have always like AMD and only down fall is the board in my pc is not overclock able but it will work for now till I find a new board for upgrade.

This processor is beastly. It genuinely is a revolutionary piece of engineering and is something you should have on your radar for a long time. It is now the best value chip on the market, coming close to even the colossal 9900k for $200. Buy it. Just do it. Your wallet will rejoice with the saved money.

I bought this CPU as part of a build for my daughter's school computer. It's amazing. Multi-threading for six physical cores gives 12 logical cores for maximum processing power. And at 3.6 GHz, it's fast. Easy installation and fired right up. Highly recommended.

This Ryzen 5 3600 is a solid processor. It isn't a speed demon with only the 6 cores, but it does what I need the desktop to do. It runs cool, and is not finicky. My mainboard was flashed to Ryzen 5 when I purchased it, so all I had to do was mount it and add the fan. This CPU replaced a previous one I bought online from another retailer. It arrived and obviously was damaged. I had to screw around for weeks to get replacement. I popped on Best Buy and saw they had them for a price that was comparable to the online site. Why didn't I just grab it from BB to start with? Cause I goofed.

I went to this processor from a Ryzen 7 2700x believe it or not! I needed less power consumption (65w as opposed to 105w). Even with 2 less cores than the Ryzen 7, this CPU is fast. I achieve even higher clocks than I could on the Ryzen 7. I love that Smart Access Memory is supported now by the Zen 2 chips.

Got this using a 10% coupon. Great value performance for a 6/12 core/thread processor and the included fan is a bonus to keep build costs low. Would have liked to buy the newer 5600x but those were out of stock. Get this is you need to trigger a build now or wait till the 5600x if it gets back to msrp or less.
