Used on 2nd build in 2 weeks and runs just as good as the 3700x for gaming. Should of bought this for my 1st.

Initially I wanted to get the ryzen 5600x but as I'm sure everyone knows that they're sold out everywhere and paying 2 to 3 times marp to scalpers is the only way to get one right now. So until supply evens out, I believe that the ryzen 3600 is the best alternative for the price. If you can even get your hands on one of them either.

Since we couldn't find a 5000 series for a reasonable price, we ended up going with this. For what it's worth, this was a great alternative.

Upgraded to Ryzen 5 3600 from an old i5 3570. The difference is night and day, I haven't even been able to push the CPU to 75% yet with medium-heavy games.

It's hard to beat this cpu, it does everything you would need a modern CPU to do and more. Highly likely to be the best one to get for the next few years.

I had the 5700xt 3600 pair and my machine definitely ran hot!! I thought that the problems I was having were due to the graphics card. But it was actually the the untamed heat that was bsod’ing my system. I didn’t have a sufficient cpu cooler or enough case fans. Once I got a sufficient cooler hyper 212 (better than the stock cooler) and a couple more case fans; everything works swimmingly stable!
