The 5600x has been a great processor for me. I replaced the stock cool with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin and it overclocks easily and stays cool and staple.

I bought this to replace a 3200G. Moving from 4c/4t to 6c/12t was incredible. The performance and capability of this processor is easily the best value in desktop computing. There’s a reason this CPU is the darling of PC gamers all around: you can’t beat the value. The included cooler was a little noisy for my liking, so I replaced it with a be quiet! option. I would absolutely recommend a different cooler if you plan to do more than browse the web and check email.

Great cpu that with good cooling will almost always hit the boost clock of 4.65 ghz while gaming. Would recommend using something other than the stock cooler since it heating up to 85c made my room considerably hotter. Refreshing performance after upgrading from an i5 2400 lol. Pin grid array made me a bit anxious, had somebody else install the cpu for me. Not particularly biased by any team as a first time builder but I chose a ryzen over an intel because of the difference in motherboard pricing alongside the processors.

    Best Upgrade Decision

This is not a review in terms of giving performance numbers. Better to look up YouTube videos from multiple reviewers and cross reference them to see how much performance they are getting. Its more of an impressions and look into my use and how it has been going so far. I'm coming from a 6700k and I have to say that even though I'm using NVME storage my system is snappier. Loading chrome with all my extensions and tabs from previous session is faster and loads almost instantly. The only thing that is different from my previous system is the Motherboard, this CPU and GPU. everything else is the same. There are no hiccups when I'm gaming at all. With my previous system, Cold War would microstutter unless I changed the priority in task manager to high would my frames be smoother. The 5600x is the CPU to get nowadays for gaming(maybe until 11th Gen Intel but who knows). Highly recommended for an upgrade from older CPUs as you will see improvements in most areas of use. (If you are able to find 1 at MSRP)

Excellent processor! I must have lucked out on the silicon lottery because this one was boosting to 4.85 GHz all core out of the box. Is stable at 5.05 GHz all core on Aorus Elite WiFi. Hits 79°C full load on a 280mm AIO. Stock setting temps run around 60°C full load, while still boosting to 4.85 GHz. Couldn’t be happier.

    The Rumors Are True

The performance and cool operating temperature rumors for the 5600x are true-- I am now a believer after having used Intel 9th and 10th gen i5s in the past for flight simming. Somehow AMD has managed to outcompete Intel chips that use 50% more power with nominally higher clock speeds (I assume because of better IPCs and the architecture). And I haven't even overclocked it yet. Glad I patiently waited rather than getting a 10600K for $50 less (nothing wrong with them, but this is faster and cooler by a significant margin). The only challenge was finding this in stock!

This CPU is a beast for the price. Pairs great with my B550 Gaming Plus MOBO and Gigabyte 3070 Aorus Master. Couldn't be happier with my first PC build from January this year.

Best bang for your buck for any builds under $700. This beast of a CPU can handle up to a 4070 in 1440p. No doubt, this CPU will give you the best performance in this price range

I ran benchmark of this CPU, it beats previous motherboard powered Intel Core i7-8700K. During gaming, solid performance without any issues. Before installing CPU, you'll need to update BIOS to get up-to-date version. Just motherboard, power supply and USB flash drive to update BIOS. I bought motherboard from Amazon to use this CPU. I just installed this without problems. Do NOT bend pins of CPU. I high recommend to buy this and just want you know about upcoming major release of Windows.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X is an excellent choice for a gaming PC. It offers 6 cores and 12 threads, providing great performance for modern games while staying affordable. Its high clock speeds and efficiency make it perfect for 1080p and 1440p gaming. Paired with a decent GPU, it can handle most titles smoothly without bottlenecking. If you’re building on a budget but still want solid gaming performance, the Ryzen 5 5600X is a fantastic pick.

AM4 chip with lots of room for overclocking with the right cooler. Almost as easy to overclock as an FX chip. This is a gaming beast when over clocked, Even at stock settings, it does very well paired with a 3060 or 6700xt

A nice, cheap way to get an awesome gaming upgrade if you are years behind. Easy enough to install. The only hiccup I had was Windows freezing randomly, but figured out it was the chipset drivers that came with MB. On a fresh install, I went straight to the AMD website and downloaded the X570 drivers from them, installed and boom....no more freezing. Can't say enough about how much you get out of it for how little it costs....coming from someone whose rig was almost 6 years old.

    Zen 3 POWER

Coming from a 1st gen Ryzen 5, my experience may be skewed a bit but this thing is a beast. Any CPU intensive games or software that you use will barely get this thing to break a sweat. Folks coming from more traditionally cooler CPUs may raise an eyebrow when this thing hits 86+ Celsius under load but per AMD, this is normal for the zen 3 lineup. But still...maybe grab a 3rd party cooler to rest easy.

If you're like me and looking to build a solid gaming PC for a low cost then this chip will provide awesome price to performance. For $169 it can easily be paired with medium to high end GPUs without bottlenecking.

Coming from an old i5-3450, the 5600x has been superb! After seeing the power usage of the i5-11400 I decided to go with the 5600x even though it is priced quite a bit higher. I am definitely not disappointed that I did! Very quick and meets all my needs with some gaming and occasional video transcoding. Nice that it comes with a cooler but I still went with an AIO just to keep the CPU as cool as possible.
