Honestly, AMD has made the reasons to buy intel very minimal. You get all of the performance in the place you need it for less dollars. And in some cases you get more performance than Intel. Single core applications are not quite as fast, but the gap is small enough now that there really is no benefit to Intel other than paying for a name.

Upgraded my son's pc, cpu from a AMD Ryzen 5 1400 to the 2700X. Going from a 4 core cpu to a 8 core made leaps and bounds in performance from minor tasks to gaming. Cpu speeds do have a major effect on your daily online tasks, not only gaming. Cost effective upgrade.. Geek squad guys cad swap out a cpu for you if you, do not know how..

If you are building a computer- This is the CPU to get. Get a liquid cooler, turn the multiplier up, turn the voltage up. And you're at a stable 4.3GHZ. One warning- These like good memory, Make sure you get memory that is optimized for the ryzen. Unfortunately, best buy didn't carry any in store, I went with a G.Skill kit.

This processor is a beast. Good temps under average load. Quick, snappy, and easy to install. The LEDs on the included cooler are a nice touch. You can customize the colors which is great if you're trying to stick to a color scheme for your rig. Get's two thumbs up from me.

My expectations were high for this processor. I'm happy to say they were greatly exceeded! I'm able to not only run my games at maximum quality, but also stream at 1080p and 60fps all while running a FiveM Grand Theft Auto 5 Roleplay server. Even doing all of this simulatneously, it only uses about 35% of it's potential!

Great price and includes a nice heat sink and fan.

Bought this for my son's computer as he wanted to upgrade and have a better gaming computer. Shopped around and compared Intel and AMD. AMD had good reviews and was comparable in performance compared to Intel pricier CPU's. Don't regret this purchase and Best Buy gave a better price than other electronic stores.

Amd is back in the game. This cpu line did it for amd. im very impressed. last time i used a amd was mod 2000s and they were lousy. Im vastly impressed how cool it runs and how fast it runs. no it isnt as fast as the new i7 but its pretty close. this is coming from a guy that ran a i7 4790k for 3 years

This processor is very fast, it opens Windows 10 almost instantly. My son says he can now run all his games at their highest setting. Using PC UserBenchmark this processor tested as a UFO. I am very happy with this because I can now run multiple spread sheets at the same time.

I was replacing a 6 core i7 cpu and motherboard with this and have not noticed any drop in performance, but an improved performance for the tasks I use. I use Photoshop heavily, as well as premiere pro, internet, illustrator, etc. etc. and this has worked very well for workstation use.

Coming from a Ryzen fan, I couldn't have been happier when i upgraded from the Ryzen 5 to this Ryzen 7 2700x. Great processor, the best bang for your buck in my opinion also. Will only be a better bargain for your buck with the 3000 series dropping now. Definitely recommend.

The 2nd Gen Ryzen CPU is really good for gaming. The 2700X packs quiet a performance for gaming as well as video editing and rendering. I did have a great time using it. My CPU was always cool under heavy load.

AMD is finally back in the game, I feel they hit it out of the park with this processor. My build is awesome, & everything went off without a hitch, it loaded windows 10 unbelievably fast & was running flawlessly in no time @ all, took about 1hr to completely set up the computer

I purchased this CPU to increase the overall speed of my PC. I use a Rift S VR setup and load times are crazy fast whenever I'm gaming! I highly recommend!!

8 cores 16 threads and lot of power. I consider myself a power user and have a lot of things going on while I'm using my desktop and processor never reaches more than 50% of the computing power.

Was upgrading from a 7th gen Intel and was hesitant on going with AMD. But with the motherboard I got this thing rocks. Performs so much better than I thought it would for my gaming and streaming.

With the new 3700x CPU coming out, the price for the 2700x has decreased, and I use it on my secondary PC, and I would say there's maybe a 10% difference in performance, so it is definitely worth the money for the value and high end performance.

This chip is absolutely amazing. I bought a GTX 1080TI last year, and my I5 4690k chip was bottlenecking my PC. I was looking at the I9 9900K for a while, but I just couldn't justify the price tag. This came on sale for $280 and I couldn't pass it up. This thing boosted my benchmarks by about triple of where I was at. It runs cool, I have no issues whatsoever and I am extremely satisfied with this purchase! The main reason I upgraded is because I have a 32" 1440P 144hz monitor and I wanted to push my games to achieve these hard to reach numbers. I am right there now with my games on max settings (Call of Duty BLOPS 4, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch so far). Game Changer!

Great processor! Works flawless, I will note it does run warmer than a 2600 so keep in mind that if your upgrading from a older generation ryzen it is normal. Though the voltages are kinda high it still performed beyond my expectations.

AMD has it with the Ryzen CPU's great value compared to Intel and every version gets more and more powerful but still having a price point you can get into building a PC that will be more than ready for gaming and multitasking things.
