I decided to build my first gaming PC and wanted to get parts to build a high end PC for the price of mid-tier prebuilds. The Ryzen 7 3700X makes sure that my build is future proof for a few years! It comes with a Wraith Prism cooler that is doing the job just fine. The only problem I have is the software for the RGB control doesn't properly connect to Razer Connect software, but that is honestly a nit-picking thing. As for installation, is super easy. Gently place it in a compatible motherboard, remove the protective film on the cooler to reveal that it's already got thermal past applied and set it down so the paste is evenly applied, lock the cooler in place and you're done. 10/10 would recommend.

So far so good. Definitely a step up from the Ryzen 5 1600af. I noticed a difference when editing photos and a little difference with gaming. Future proofed my computer for a while.

It used to be that Intel was everything and AMD was sub par. My, how the worm has turned. This processor is about an i7 but WAY less expensive!

Upgraded from old Intel i5-5600k to this in the meantime while newer CPUs are still hard to find. Using mainly for gaming. Games run much better and smoother than before. Great CPU.

Very Fast a Reliable it makes ease of any game I have played so far even Cyberpunk 2077. Even with a lower end XFX 5500 XT I'm hitting 50-65fps with ultra and some high settings.

8 cores, sustained boost over 4GHZ at 65 watts!

Outstanding CPU. The main reason I bought this was I have a budget A320 board and the VRMs aren't very good. There's not even heat sinks on them. So, I wanted a 65W CPU. I'm shocked this CPU runs 8 cores, EASILY boosts to over 4 GHZ and stays there, and is only 65W. I just use the stock cooler, which is a very good air cooler. The downflow air cooler also helps keep my VRM temps low. My A320 board will probably never be compatible with Ryzen 5000, so this is probably the last CPU I'll get for it. But, it will last a LONG time! Very happy. Make sure you get it at a sale price, you should pay MSRP with Ryzen 5000 out now.

This was an upgrade from a dated 4th gen haswell system and an improvement in every way. Impressive cpu. Wasn't quite reaching max boost clocks but the recent bios update pulled it up to within 35 mhz of 4.4. Low power consumption, quick, great for multitasking. Photo/ video editing and encoding, 3d modeling/rendering; basic web use and light gaminng. Easy install and the included cooler is adequate for stock settings so far. Happy with this purchase so far, and Best Buy was the same price as other online retailers and had it in stock at my local store.

Great processor for the money. The Wraith cooler it comes packaged with is a good pack-in value. If you're looking to build a decent budget gaming PC, this is a fine choice.

Seriously amazing CPU with crazy good performance. I get 5% utilization while playing Fortnite and around 15% utilization playing Borderlands with nearly max settings at 1440p 144 hz. The only gripe I have with the CPU is the Wraith Prism cooler. It was a bit difficult to install and the lever puts an uncomfortable amount of pressure on the CPU when pulling it. Overall, I absolutely love the CPU and the control over the RGB of it all is excellent.

I was streaming on OBS, and it was super choppy. I upgraded from an i5-2310, to this Ryzen 7 3700X, and my stream quality increased dramatically. I thought it was my GTX 660 which was holding me back, but this Zen 2 processor unlocked the world of Twitch to me. This comes with the Prism cooler to boot; no need for an AIO. I bought this over a 5600X because I needed the cores for multitasking (gaming+streaming). If you're only into gaming, you can get away with the 5600.

Great cpu for the money. Not as cost effective as the 3600, but included a capable cooler for a non-overclock use case, and absolutely powers through everything. Long live Ryzen!

Keeping am4 socket and making better cpu's Amd is on fire these last few years. Amd keeps getting closer and closer to Intel's power with more cores and much cheaper price tag.
