Amazing performance! AMD has really outdone themselves the past few years. This processor is great. It's a good balance of price, performance, and features.

Great CPU for the buy with capabilities to handle multiple workloads at $270. Worth the price compared to 5600x especially with no stock to be had at the moment.

I come from a technical background and the 3700x is a monster, even when compared to the juggernaut that is the 5000 series Ryzen AND the non-existent/price scalping that is happening now. If your computer can't do what you want it to anymore, it's time to upgrade, plain and simple. Need more cores for productivity? You better make sure your apps will use them! Do not recommend manual OC either, just leave PBO off (largely useless), and let it boost on it's own. Do yourself a favor and get at least 3600mhz ram to get the FCLK up to speed, you'll appreciate pretty significant gains. Go team Red!

This Asus TUF Gaming x570-plus motherboard, Ryzen 7 3700x processor and Corsair memory work flawlessly together. A great improvement over my old AMD Athlon 7 processor. I wish I'd upgraded much sooner. Now I do not encounter resource issues while working from home (running three browsers simultaneously, with multiple windows open in each, multiple SSH sessions (Linux) and all other supporting applications). I;m not a gamer, but this setup is impressive for engineering activity, photograph post-processing (ie Lightroom and photoshop) and general multi-tasking activities. Highly recommended.

WOW. My girlfriend got me this and a B550 motherboard as a little present, and wow am I blown away at the performance difference coming from a 6700k. Never going back to Intel again. However the motherboard I bought in-store was damaged by an employee who dropped the bag that my items were in before she handed it to me. Now I deal with splash screens that show color lines blocks and static instead of the startup screens every new motherboard has.

I have two computer builds one with an i7-8700k and another with a R7 3700x, this cpu competes with the i9-10900k and cost close to half of what that processor costs.

Best bang for your buck! Who needs to spend a ton on Intel when all you need is AMD? Does run a tad bit hotter than my Ryzen 1600, and has higher voltages even at idle, but this is supposedly safe. After you’re done second guessing the voltages and temps, begin to enjoy the best value 8 core 16 thread CPU on the market. I have left it on the stock clock settings, as it is so fast stock with stock boost (which I see up to 4.317Ghz in Premiere/pro workload). No need to try to overclock as AMD has got it right out of the box.

If you don't want an Intel or funds are pretty low Ryzen is definitely the bang for your buck. This CPU can hold its own against even more high end ones and for a cheaper price too!

I used this CPU for my first ever PC build paired with a MSI Gaming Carbon motherboard and an GTX 1660 super oc. This has completely sky rocketed my productivity as it can handle quite a bit of work. Now this is compared to a laptop that could barely run a video editing app. This CPU allows me to run heavier programs like video editing and 3D modeling softwares with no problems whatsoever. Also allows me to have my games and recording going at the same time with no issues. I've had this CPU for about a month and so far have ran into no issues whatsoever.

Very happy with performance of chip. Windows task manager shows it typically running around 4.0 ghz. I think the highest I’ve seen is about 4.2. I haven’t messed with overclocking as I don’t see much need to. The chip seems to run stable and cool with provided heat sink. Heat sink is pretty cool looking with RGBs on fan. It runs pci 4.0 without a problem. Very happy with purchase and quality compared to Intels equivalent.

I ordered this to replace a 1st Gen Ryzen 7 1700. I wanted to be sure that my current rig would meet the requirements for Windows 11, which I actually like using. This was a 2 generation leap; my motherboard does not support any 5th gen Ryzen. This was the same TDP as my original 1700, but it runs rings around the older processor. It shipped with a Wraith Prism cooler, but I chose not to use any of it's RGB goodness. I'm very happy with the upgrade, and would recommend it to anyone considering the same.

This CPU crushes my old cpu when it comes to performance, I went from i5-7600K (4c/4t) to this and it's crazy the difference it makes. My PC used to lock up when launching Warzone and some other games or apps and now barely breaks a sweat. It might be a bit overkill for some and in that case a 6c/12t CPU might be a better buy, but I got this with a 10% discount when the R5 3600/5600X were constantly out of stock and I'm completely content. Only thing is I feel like it should be $280, but at $330 it's still an okay price.
