Has worked well for the first three weeks!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 3700x has worked o.k. for three weeks. I've manipulated a couple of short videos with it. Other than that --- I haven't put it to much of a test. The air cooler is pretty, but the temperatures ease up above 70 degrees C. If you stress this CPU often --- get a larger cooler. Also, installing this wraith cooler is easy to do --- except when you hand is to big to reach into the case and attach the second fastener. If I do this again --- I'll put the wraith thing on before putting the motherboard into the case.

Ryzen 7 3700x
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I reached a point where my old i5 was bottlenecking my GPU, and the only recourse was to get a new mobo & cpu. Initially I looked at the intel series and saw this was out performing the i7-9700k in many areas out of box with only a 3-5% variance in most cases. I took the plunge and switch to AMD. The responsiveness of workloads is greatly improved. The stock performs very well, I run borderlands 3 & shadow of the tomb raider and my temps stay under 70'C (I did reapply thermal paste though, habbits..). This processor is has great price to performance.

Works great so far!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this unlocked CPU, as it registers great benchmark scores when assembled with my be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU fan and Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut thermal grease. If you don't want to purchase a third party CPU fan, this product comes with a sleek, low profile one which is pretty nice to have, in the event my current CPU fan catastrophically fails. The 3 free months of Xbox Game Pass is also an added bonus!

Excellent price for performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ryzen is killing it with Zen 2. Easily plays most games on high settings and achieving a minimal of 100 FPS (2080ti). I would recommend an AIO or water cooling tho. It gets toasty, quick. I ended up getting a Corsair 240 AIO (can’t remember the name of the model) and that resolved my issue. My old Kraken 120 AIO couldn’t keep up. But bottom line, GREAT cpu!

Great price per core performance.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome performance out of the box. Price per core can't be beat compared to Intel offerings.

Good cpu

Perfect Cpu in price for gaming and workstation.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright you would won’t probably get the best performance when it comes to games compared to intel but it matches really will compared to them. You’ll also have a way better workstation because of the more cores and threads, compared to other intel products or perform for the most part better then similarly priced parts from intel. If you play and like editing and streaming definitely go for this and if you prefer gaming more but still want something decent on other applications for for the Ryzen 5 3600 or 3600x

Great processor!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went from a R5 2600x to a R7 3700x and the extra cores and threads really do help performance. Great price compared to its competitors.

First PC Build... Blazing fast CPU!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Maybe I’m just impressed by the speed of this because I was using a Toshiba Laptop from 2008 (yes for real)... but wow this CPU blows it out of the water. It handles several different processes effortlessly and is quick when going from task-to-task. I’m impressed by how fast this CPU is. The lights on the fan are pretty neat but can’t figure out how to change the outer ring on the fan, but that doesn’t bother me too much... I think the power/function of the CPU is more important than the looks anyways.

Team Red Baby
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now granted I am upgrading from old hardware. I matched this with a x570 board, corsair 3600mhz ram, and a 2080. This thing flys. Crushing anything and everything I can throw at it. I had no trouble with bios or anything. Get it, you will not be disappointed.

Multitasking Beast!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a total beast at multitasking and video rendering. I bought this cpu specifically to get into hardcore gaming/ streaming and have not been disappointed at all. It literally destroys anything I throw at it. Literally my only complaint was that the fan would rev up and down occasionally under light load, but was easily fixed with some fan adjustments provided with my motherboards software.

Great upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a Ryzen 5 2600X and the increase was noticeable. I would get dips in frames from 60-70 all the way down to 30-40. This practically doubled my frames from 60 to 100+ and dips are non-existent. With the new Ryzen 5000 series, my personal opinion is just $400+ for the 8-core is not worth it when the 3700x is half the price and is one of the best performers out there.

Great cpu for architecture
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amd is the way to go. Updating chipset drivers and other components is easy because they are a lot of ryzen builds on YouTube. I used this for a pc that I builded for my brother. Runs multi threaded applications like a champ but it can also game. Havent have a single crash. Stock cooler if fine. Better quality than ryzen 5 3600 stock cooler. Ps. This processor might drop on price so wait until it does. The zen 3 cpus are coming out and this cpu may go done on price.

Can't snag a 5XXX? Snag this
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.CPU screams. Fan is nice, but it rattled a bit at the start. Totally fine for stock settings or even a mild baseline overclock (B550M Bazooka was willing to give this a pre-boost OC up to 4.3GHz in auto BIOS settings). If you're running anything worse than a 2700x (or 8600k on the Intel side) you're likely to see pretty good gains switching to this. If you're gonna OC REALLY high, you might want to invest in another cooler (recommend Be Quiet or the golden oldie Hyper 212 Evo's fine) but for close to stock, included cooler's just fine, and very easy to install. I forgot how easy it CAN be to install a cooler/heatsink before cracking this open! My only hesitation is that you can pick up a 5600/x for around this price when they're in stock, at which point this becomes the worse buy obviously, but AMD hasn't caught up to demand yet, so don't be terribly afraid to pick this up in the meantime. It's not that much worse than the 5XXX line, honestly.

Best upgrade but a little overkill
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As they say "GO BIG OR GO HOME". when I got this processor, I knew I wanted something powerful and for the long haul. The ryzen 7 is just that. More suited for gamers/streamers (according to YouTube videos), it is providing more than expected results for my gaming experience. A great alternative to the Intel i5 chip for those of us who find them too expensive and just as worthy to be put in the same category.
