Good option for most

I put this in an MSI X570 Gaming motherboard, everything runs fine. The stock cooler looks decent and is adequate for light overclocking, as long as voltages are kept in check, though the cooler would probably work significantly better if the bottom was flat and could actually make consistent contact. Between the motherboard and the cpu, it was happy to run 4400mhz ram with just the XMP profile, no further tweaking necessary.

Great CPU even in 2021

I'm not an expert on CPUs and what brands are good, but this one surprised me with its speed and potential for the price. Was gonna get the 5600x but since we all know it is like trying to find a mythic unicorn, I settled with the 3700x. Overall, the added cores on this will still be useful in gaming and productivity. Don't lose hair if you don't end up with the new 5600x, because this 3700x will still provide support for years to come.
