This was the cpu I chose for my first build. I could've gone w/ a 3700x at the time as it was the better "value." I don't regret it or anything. That's just what all the techtubers recommend. I chose it for the extra 300mhz base clock, lol

Fast single- and multi-threaded performance. CPU support for up to 24 PCIe 4.0 interface lanes on X570 mobo. The processor only use 105W and boost frequency up to 4.5 Ghz on 8 cores. The included Wraith Cooler is quiet and efficient.

I would give this 4.5 stars actually the processing power is good and functions well in normal conditions with a case airflow of four fans and a 2060 super gpu. However the con was which I didn't know before the purchase this cpu is incompatible with intergrated graphics, I thought the motherboard actually took care of that but it also the cpu that allows the intergrated graphics to work. And while not a huge deal it is nice to have intergrated graphics to trouble shoot with. So 4.5 stars instead of 5.0

The Wraith Fan is colorful and it's quiet. Its hard to control the RGB tho, I haven't figured it out yet. The CPU itself is a very high quality component. Able to run multiple applications at once without a problem and fast as well.

Upgraded my system from a Ryzen 1700. While it was still an 8c/16t cpu, the speed just blows the first gen Ryzen away!

I usually buy Intel but decided on this processor when I had trouble finding an I7 in stock, So far I have not been disappointed. The included heat sink is mediocre, averaging 55 degrees Celsius, but other than that I am happy with this purchase.
