This is a great CPU, though if you're looking for a better value definitely go for the 5600X. Grab this if you really do need the extra cores. Most gamers will NOT. If you're doing more workloads you'll likely benefit from this a bit more.

Lucky to get this in a time when scalping and stock levels were so ridiculously low that you literally had to sell your teeth to get one. BTW, kudos to BB for being a GoodGuy with how they keep scalpers from getting their hands on these - you earned a cookie. The 5800X CPU will handle all of your gaming, productivity, and Internet browsing tasks with ease and is a solid performing CPU. AMD's Zen 3 silicon is hands-down better than the equivalent Intel silicon, and it's cheaper. If you have this in your cart, buy it.

Im really happy with this CPU. It was my first Ryzen with built in graphics. My daughter was ready to build her first PC since she wanted to move away from consoles. Her favorite game Fortnite at 1080p 75hz was running medium graphic settings at a steady 60fps locked. When bumped up to high settings it did drop down to about 30fps so we kept it at medium and she loves it. The game still looks really good. Highly recommend for gamers that are struggling to get a GPU or for and budget builds.

This processor is fantastic. As anyone who is likely to consider purchasing this cpu knows, this generation of Ryzen has taken a huge step forward in its IPC and clock speeds. This means Intel processors no longer have a huge lead in gaming, but also further increases Ryzen's dominance in productive tasks. If you are looking for a relatively future proof processor, this is a great choice. It does run quite hot due to the specific architecture of the chip, but it will stay well within safe specs.

Great value and price, very fast process speed and great for gaming pc

Lucky to score a rtx 3080 on launch day, and built a PC around it. I originally had a 3700x and I expected no issues but I found it bottlenecking when I was playing at 1440P 240hz. I have read the mixed reviews on this processor and its price but if your looking for that extra oomphhh the CPU is stellar and blows the 3700x out of the water in COD Warzone, which is what I was aiming for. Some games were only using 800-85% of my gpu but now its always 95%. If your on the edge and not sure if you should pull the trigger this one beast of an 8-core processor at what is most likely AMD's end of for this chipset, which gives it a chance to stand up for a while.

Using this in a micro PC case. Not one to overclock or push the CPU over stock, but this CPU provides a fair amount of oomp for the cost. Prior AMD CPUs when paired with the motherboards I'd bought always seemed to have quirks that led to crashes. Especially after upgrading to Win 11, this CPU has been 100% stable and actually seems faster on Win 11 than on Win 10.

Such a great deal to get it at $250 and it works amazing, compared to the 3200

I bought this cpu for my new build and was not expecting it to perform this good! My main game to play is fortnite which relies mostly on the cpu! This cpu can handle it with no issues! I have a lower end gpu in my pc but it still runs a good 250 frames due to the outstanding performance from my cpu!

Excellent CPU for practically everything. Not low end like 4 cores, a bit more than 6 cores for more horsepower. Gaming, recording, whatever you wish to do with your PC this CPU will never disappoint. Very very strong processor that I foresee it lasting for several years. Paired with a 6700xt or higher and it's a very suitable combo.

Great budgetish cpu. Upgraded from ryzen 5 3600 series and notice slightly faster speeds. If using a b550 mobo that's older, don't forget to flash update your mobo before you put it in... i had to switch back to my old cpu in order to update. Using the msi b550 tamohawk and yes the older boards will support this cpu.

Upgraded from 7700k to this and am very happy. It's a beast of a processor. Great for gaming and rendering
