Middle of the road CPU. Wasn't initially worth it when they were at their normal price, but at $300, get it if you're doing more than just gaming and still on a tight budget! No problems and stays decently cool. Hotter than a 5600X for sure though.

Great processor, does everything I need, from work, to browsing to even gaming, have it paired with a 6950xt and it does bottleneck as much.

A beast of a cpu. It is however the worst price per core of the original Zen 3 processors. Easily boosts to max boost clock. Waiting on a graphics card to test out gaming and production applications, but it seems promising.

Installed this CPU on my Asus Tuff Gaming X570 MB with no problems. Before this I was using a 3700x. User benchmark indicated all showing Nuclear Submarine for all categories. With this new CPU everything was UFO

Literally hot CPU but performance is great. A little over 85+ C with an AIO, Unger volted now getting around 75 C ish. Sadly best buy did not want to price match me though. Even though it qualified they wanted me to go in store.

Runs like a beast but a little hot (As expected given its AMD) even with a Coolermaster hyper 212, coming from a Ryzen 5 3600x I've basically felt a 3 times increase in the performance.

Awesome CPU! I upgraded to this from a 6600k so obviously any of the new processors would be better but this runs smooth. No problems with install. Paired this with B550 Tuf Gaming Plus WiFi and works perfectly.

Bought this as a upgrade to my Ryzen 5 1600 Cpu. Had to update the Mobo but other than that this chip has been a beast!

This was the processor I initially wanted for my build, I’m glad I was finally able to get it. My build has no more bottlenecks. The only downside is this does not come with a cooler so a separate one needs to be purchased as well

My first Ryzen processor. This is the powerhouse on my recent RGB Gaming PC build. I usually shop Intel but I am very impressed with the performance of this processor.

A really great cpu i bought on sale, the only downside is that it fluctuate temperatures really fast in comparison to other models. It runs hot real fast so if you do get it make sure to have a cooler that can handle the heat. Overall great cpu.

Fast CPU, definitely a great value for what you get, especially for future proofing. Gen 5 Ryzen chips look to be a much bigger power draw vs power output, so I'm happy to have the 5800x for a few generations.

Its everything I wanted and more. I upgraded from the Ryzen 3 previous Gen which was fine for everyday things but not gaming. This thing has handled anything and everything I have thrown at it so far. Can't wait to see how far it will go!

While this purchase was a last minute unplanned upgrade, it is one I don't regret making. I previously had a 3800xt that suffered an unfortunate bent pin incident while swapping coolers. As always AMD delivers the best bang for the buck.

    It’s smoking hot!

It’s a poweful cpu and really stomps the competition. When it hits its max frequency it gets really hot. Like 90C hot. Gaming it averages around 57-74C and I see a consistent 4.8Ghz on all 8 cores. The heat factor and power draw are within specs of AMD’s guidelines. Even though they say it’s ok those two factors concern me about the lifespan/longevity of the chip. Otherwise it would have gotten a 5 star.

Upgraded from a Ryzen 5 3600 to this Ryzen 7 5800x. At first i didnt noticed a difference but once i started playing attention and playing certain games i was noticing how much faster things were processing. It is a super nice upgrade.

Not the best value of the Ryzen 5000 series, but still an amazing chip. I bought this because all the other chips were out of stock. 8 cores is enough for general gaming discord browsing and photoshop. Bought a 5600x for my girlfriend, great CPUs for gaming
