    Solid gaming/starting workstation performance.

Very solid cpu performer for basic level workstation performance. if you want mid or higher go for a 5950x or a thread ripper. For myself I feel it gets a bit hot so be prepared to use a 360mm AIO cooler as I used a 240mm AIO cooler H100i and while it works pretty well I still get upper 60's mid 70c's during full load for me is a bit on the hot side on full load. with the 7xxx series out the price should dropped a good deal making it even a better deal if you want to a good performance to dollar ratio.

Powerful processor, just, mind the heat

Super powerful processor, great for multitasking, but absolutely requires a high end liquid cooling solution to be viable given how hot this thing gets. Also, even then it's best to look into using AMD's curve optimizer software in Ryzen Master to undervolt each core for best performance to temperature ratios. Doing so combined with overclocking has actually allowed me to hit 5ghz at points on two of my eight cores on this thing (not for extended periods mind you but that's fine the way overclocking works these days) and still stay under 80 degrees celsius. If you are looking for a Ryzen solely for gaming, I would actually recommend looking into a Ryzen 5 5600X. Temps don't get nearly as hot, and using curve optimizer with overclocking also allows for speeds up to 5 GHz (if you're lucky of course.) Either way, for gaming a 5600X is likely all you will need if using these options, and it's cheaper than the Ryzen 7. Or, go up one step to a Ryzen 9 if you're willing to shell out the big bucks for extreme performance. However, if you do a lot of multitasking, some gaming, and don't want to shell out for a Ryzen 9, this will likely work for you (especially when it goes on sale.)

Bought this great CPU by price matching. This would be a great best-buy feature to get the best price. CPU is great for my gaming PC. Ryzen 7, 32gb ram, RTX 3070 Ti. Great custom built.

The Ryzen 7 5800x is one of the best processors for the money. If you don't want to shell out a ton of money than this is a good choice.

Any of the 5000 series processors are great. I had an Intel 10900K, this system seems faster and snappier. Games perfectly and with PCI-4 its has faster HD speeds which helps with game loading. Anyone who tells you the 5800 isn't a good processor doesn't know what they are talking about.

Just upgraded to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, and it's a game-changer! The 4th Gen processor with 8 cores and 16 threads delivers unmatched power and multitasking prowess. The sleek black design adds a touch of sophistication to my rig. Without a cooler, it allows for personalized cooling solutions. AMD's precision and performance shine through, making every task a breeze. Five stars for unleashing desktop processing excellence!

Ryzen is a Worthy Competitor in the PC Market

Super fast and efficient Ryzen CPUs are some of the best bang for buck processors you can buy. Decided to upgrade from my 9600k to Ryzen and wasn't disappointed. The Ryzen PC was noticeably faster. Being as it was made on a smaller die process it can produce amazing performance for less wattage and heat. The only watch out would be if your a long time intel user, some of the technologies your used to may differ on Ryzen. For example, XMT profiles for ram is called something different for Ryzen and overclocking can be a bit different if you're not used to overclocking on AMD chips.

Easily one of the best purchases of my adult life. whether I'm gaming, editing videos, or having a hundred google tabs open at once, this processor runs like a dream, it's fast and rarely reaches 60 degrees celsius, even when running DaVinci video editor.

This is a great CPU. I would definitely recommend if you’re not trying to do anything crazy besides gaming and maybe streaming I will say I was a little worried about the temp, but this chip tends to run a little hot so don’t worry if your temps are a little High about 35° Degree Celsius while playing games and about 28 Degrees just running

Built new pc with this and it runs like a dream! Very happy I was able to snag one of these. That's really the only negative about these AMD 5000x processors, they're hard to get. Have it connected to Corsair H110i radiator and glad I didn't have to deal with a bundled in CPU fan that I wasn't going to use. If you're looking at the 5800x or 5900x you're definitely going to need a more robust cooling solution anyways. 5600x still comes bundled with fan if your not planning to do anything too taxing to your PC.

An amazing CPU with exceptional performance, if you can get your hands on one. ++ Very strong IPC, over 20% improvements versus Ryzen 3000 series + excellent gaming performance when paired with a high end GPU - runs hotter than its siblings due to it being a full 8-core chiplet, needs beefy cooler - pricing is a tad high, competing with high core count CPUs - needs a BIOS update to work with most motherboards out of the box - availability

An amazing processor! It took a while to obtain but was worth the wait. If you have the money (and opportunity) to buy a 5900x though I would recommend that for the core count. Otherwise this is a solid processor. Out of box performance: amazing, but runs a little hot. I've heard it's normal and still runs up to 4.7GHz on all core. Easily reaches target 4.8 on single core and occasional bumps to 4.85 Recommendation to buyer: take the time to go in bios and turn on PBO2. There are tons of guides online and drastically improves Temps and performance. I got idle Temps down by about 7 degrees and easily passed 5GHz single core

I decided to upgrade my motherboard and CPU from a 1700x to this 5800x and noticed a decent bump in performance over the older 1700x. Solid CPU at a great value.
