Great CPU with lower power draw and strong performance for gaming and video editing. Easily out performs Intel's 11th gen in both thermals and speed. The value per dollar is slightly better for the 5600x and 5900x.

Excellent CPU. Price is a bit high but they are dropping a bit on these processors. I had to exchange the first one because it had a faulty memory controller but hey.....it happens. One thing for anyone planning on purchasing this...it gets hot. Make sure you have a decent cooler and plenty of airflow in your case. The CPU is 7nm process with all 8 cores on a single CCX so it gets toasty.

Amazing performance from AMD as always. Multitasking and gaming performance has been drastically improved from the last Zen 2 architecture. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for both gaming and light professional work.

I got rid of my 3700X for this CPU. I got the 3700X on a whim and I was disappointed with it, it was too slow for my RX 6800. I experienced some micro stutters in most games, I run 1440P in all scenarios. So for those wondering if it's worth the upgrade, I can confidently say that it is. I have had nothing but great gameplay since.

Fastest CPU I’ve ever owned, easily clocked to 5ghz with a little bios fiddling on my ASUS TUF X570 board. I was surprised to see the massive gains in frame rate with my 2060 super versus my previous 3700X. Especially in CyberPunk 2077 it really stabilized things. Loading is quick as lightning too. Would have rather had more cores with a 5900X but at least this one was available at MSRP!

A great CPU. I'm coming from a 1700x, so this was definitely an improvement. I held off on the Ryzen 3000 CPUs, particularly the fantastic 3600x, and decided on this one vs the 5600x because it would just feel weird for me to upgrade to less cores even though I don't personally benefit from the increased core count.

I upgraded from a 5600x to this mostly for the gaming side of everything. I still do video editing now and then and still pretty solid. I'm glad I upgraded since this will last me for several years before a new system build.

What can I say? This processor is all most people would ever need. AMD installation is super easy. If you’re into over locking, this cpu is an easy overclock and it handles it well. I was going between the 5600 and the 5800 and landed on the 5800 because it has 2 extra cores - not that that’s entirely necessary at this point in time, but it is nice to have.

This device is nice, and with pricematch I got it at 329.99, really really good price. But, because of BestBuy's every man for himself policies if I want a 3060~3080ti to go with my nice brand new cpu I have to buy a 3rd party bot or have no life. 10\10 customer support and in-store service, 0\10 company design and customer care. Great product tho.

Recently upgraded from the ryzen 5 to this because it was on sale. Didnt think it would be that significant of an improvement, but boy was I wrong. This paired with my 6800xt makes an astounding upgrade.

I've upgraded RAM, GPU, PSU and even MOBO but this CPU is still hanging in there. I've got it paired with a XFX Merc310 Black RX 7900 XT. No bottle necking or trouble keeping up. 165hz 1440p monitor. At $250 this chip is a steal.

This processor has been a good buy for me. It was on sale so I got a good deal on it, but even so it was a good deal for the full price. It is lightning quick even without overclocking. Nothing lags, everything is super quick.
