Fantastic processor. I switched from a Ryz7 3700x to this and boy ill tell you the change in performance and frames to my games was superb. Paired with a 3070 gpu it works like butta. Very happy and love AMD!

Good, no issues, but buy the X3D version because it’s just better in every way. I pulled a funny and bought this right before the 3D came out so that was unfortunate. Way to go me fore watching the market.

This CPU has been fantastic for gaming on mid level games. From the feedback I've seen on monitoring software, I wouldn't feel like it would have any trouble with high end games.

Absolutely Amazing! Between the Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7 5800x, definitely go with the 5800x! The performance difference isn't really noticeable either. With this I'm able to get ultra graphics on all my games along with Ray tracing!

Overall a good processor for the money, especially with gaming and when paired with a GPU like a 3060, though it runs really hot sometimes so make sure to have a good cooler.

AMD’s i7 10700K. It’s slightly faster, however it costs more. The AM4 has more features available to it, however, like PCIE 4.0. Also with the ability to upgrade to a 5950X later, whereas the 10900K is the top performing chip on Intel’s platform.

Great processor, does everything I need, from work, to browsing to even gaming, have it paired with a 6950xt and it does bottleneck as much.

A little overkill for pure gaming for most, but very impressive performance for ~$225. Runs a bit on the hotter side but if you have a decent case with good air flow or an AIO, it’s nothing to worry about.

Price performance this CPU is great; however, at just a small price increase you can get the Intel next tier up with significant performance increase.
I took one star off the overall rating because of the relative cumbersome mounting process AMD processors have. You need to perfectly align the pins with the CPU mounting slot, and if you are not successful you run in the issue of bending the pins.
The new Ryzen gen is a huge improve over the latter, especially in the gaming field; however, AMD needs to push CPUs more performant comparing with Intel at a significant price difference.

Best gaming CPU at the moment. If you're just interested in gaming then don't even try the 5800x nor the 5900/50x. this baby will give the best possible results and more if combined with either RTX 3XXX or Radeon 6XXX. Too bad the scalpers are not giving the consumers a chance to test this wonderful CPU. Kudos AMD

Went from a 3800x to this.
Windows 11 should really start taking better advantage of it but it is already better in everything it does.
Make sure you get a good thermal paste because that will be the difference between better performance is something less than the 2700x.

Im extremely happy with this cpu. Couldn’t get a 5900x for under $750 on ebay so this at $450 is the only option in my option. Did asus 5 way optimization and it set all cores to 4.675GH ran a cinebench r23 and it shut the whole system down due to hitting thermal limit. So not very happy about that.

Great performing processor. I would have preferred the 5900X as I feel it is a better value for the small price increase, but it has been too difficult to find.

A really great cpu i bought on sale, the only downside is that it fluctuate temperatures really fast in comparison to other models. It runs hot real fast so if you do get it make sure to have a cooler that can handle the heat. Overall great cpu.
