Solid processor. If you need something more for gaming rather than productivity, (which you can still do productivity), get one as an upgrade. Do you want to get it if you have an older AM4 Zen processor.

Went from a 3800x to this. Windows 11 should really start taking better advantage of it but it is already better in everything it does. Make sure you get a good thermal paste because that will be the difference between better performance is something less than the 2700x.

Was easy to figure out how to install with some patience and is 100% way better than the AMD Ryzen 3 that came in my PC

Price performance this CPU is great; however, at just a small price increase you can get the Intel next tier up with significant performance increase. I took one star off the overall rating because of the relative cumbersome mounting process AMD processors have. You need to perfectly align the pins with the CPU mounting slot, and if you are not successful you run in the issue of bending the pins. The new Ryzen gen is a huge improve over the latter, especially in the gaming field; however, AMD needs to push CPUs more performant comparing with Intel at a significant price difference.

The Ryzen 5000 series have always been good CPUs to me. This one had many questions about it when it first launched, but with its recent sales price drop it should be a no brainer for new and older pc builders.

Best gaming CPU at the moment. If you're just interested in gaming then don't even try the 5800x nor the 5900/50x. this baby will give the best possible results and more if combined with either RTX 3XXX or Radeon 6XXX. Too bad the scalpers are not giving the consumers a chance to test this wonderful CPU. Kudos AMD

Im extremely happy with this cpu. Couldn’t get a 5900x for under $750 on ebay so this at $450 is the only option in my option. Did asus 5 way optimization and it set all cores to 4.675GH ran a cinebench r23 and it shut the whole system down due to hitting thermal limit. So not very happy about that.

Great performing processor. I would have preferred the 5900X as I feel it is a better value for the small price increase, but it has been too difficult to find.

Great CPU. A little overkill for strictly gaming, but wanted to future proof myself for the next couple of years with 8C/16TH. Handles anything I throw at it. Can multitask without a problem. Handles streaming and gaming perfectly.

Fastest CPU I have every seen for normal office use and especially gaming. 300-400 fps on games like Valorant or CS:GO. I highly recommend checking the software on your motherboard before installing this CPU. I have a B450 motherboard that needed it the update to even run this CPU.

Built new system after finally retiring my FX3850. What an insane difference 8 years of technology improvements make. Paired with 32GB DDR4, and a WD PCI 4.0 NVME drive and this system is FAAAAAST. 95th Percentile on a PassMark test!

a very good CPU over priced but nice. if your making a new build id say go intel it might be cheaper now but ryzen can have there benefits also. or spend an extra 100 bucks and get a 5900x. mine can go to 4.7 ghertz at 1.3 volts all day and probably would go higher but there would be no point

Runs like a beast but a little hot (As expected given its AMD) even with a Coolermaster hyper 212, coming from a Ryzen 5 3600x I've basically felt a 3 times increase in the performance.

It seems everyone is talking about PBO2 which it is good at single thread and lightly threaded workloads But the way I see it you can undervolt it and run stable at 4.8GHz All core at just 2.25V I love it...its very very fast
