The best there is

I upgraded from a 3800x and my FPS jumped pretty high. I’m now pretty much never dropping below 144fps now with this CPU and my 3090 FE both of which I bought from Best Buy.

Fast processor, but runs hotter

I never expected to see temps of 90c being a norm with an AIO cooler, but here we are. According to AMD, this is completely expected. This is the only processor in the lineup that runs quite this hot. Otherwise, no complaints about the performance of it.

I spent a long time debating between this and the 5900x. I haven't found anything this one can't do yet, certainly not complaining about the difference in price.

Each side of the thing was EXACTLY the same size! Excellent size to pin ratio. The circuits were all torqued to high heaven perfectly. Had no issues aside from having to stop for chicken Alfredo mid-install. God knows I paid dearly the next day as it was 3am when we started. Oof. What can you do?

It's a good mix of gaming and a processor for heavier workloads. Just be aware that if you are use to Intel processors, these idle 10-13 degrees higher. The max temps are not different in my opinion.
