This CPU is an excellent choice if you are planning on staying with the AM4 platform a while longer. It performs consistently across the board on everything from gaming to productivity and everything in between. The performance to price ratio is phenomenal.

I have found this process to be well worth the money running very quickly with all the games I play it's very good with its processing speeds and has clocks for a lot of multitasking.
Go the CPU was created to be easy to overclock I have never done so as I find the performance in the non-overclocked mode exceeds any expectations I had originally.

Awesome processor, great power and value for your money, no complaints here other than the CPU runs a little hot for my liking but this is not due to a bad design, in fact the design allows it to achieve great overclock speeds but also keeps it very warm. I would definitely recommend it but also watch your temps and use a big AIO cooler for it.

Awesome 8 core 16 thread cpu. Pretty solid and still holds up right now in 2023 against ryzen 7000 series. And the best part it was knly 249. Couldnt recommend it more for people who want great performance for the next few years.

Picked this up for $200 and that's an absolutely insane price for this - it's incredibly good and has no issues keeping up with all tasks you throw at it. Skip the AM5 for now and get this if budget is a concern, you won't regret it.

Upgraded from an r5 1600 so no complaints here. Basically noticed the better performance immediately which was great. Got it on sale in a bundle which very much made this a great value proposition for upgrading

If you're going through the reviews looking for an answer if it's normal that this processor hits 80-90 degrees all the time, especially when you're gaming and idles in the 70s, it is. It freaked me out as well, at first, since I was actually using an older 240 AIO from Thermaltake but I was assured by all the reviews online that this is actually a very hot processor. It is rated to run in the 90s normally. I ended up buying the CORSAIR - iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX CPU Cooler and I've been idling around the 40's ever since and about 65-75 when I'm gaming. I do a lot of work on the PC besides gaming so this 8 core PC suited my needs better but if you ask me, if it's purely for gaming, go with the 5600X.

AMD - Ryzen 7 5800X 4th Gen 8-core, 16-threads Unlocked Desktop Processor Without Cooler worked excellent with my computer and I am so glad I was able to play my games easily and quickly. And, i found it to be a good buy, also. I strongly recommend this.

I upgraded from an AMD 3600 (it was a place holder until the 5000 series came out). I was able to get lucky a few weeks ago to nab this model. I was intending to get an 8 or 12 core for video rendering and gaming. This 5800X has lowered my rendering times by a 3rd. It does get much warmer with the 8 cores. I had to buy 3000 rpm cpu fans (push-pull) to keep the CPU temp around 85C when using Handbrake with all cores maxed out at about 4.5+Ghz on all of them. (it is a cooler master 212 Black edition letting it climb to 90C-92C). I will need to consider liquid cooling when I can get my hands on a 6800xt or a RTX3080 card and rework the entire computer at once along with a upgraded PSU. I am very happy with this CPU along with my X570 motherboard and all the BIOS and AMD driver updates...it's been a great experience with this little monster...
If you get it...plan on cooling it with LC. The price per core ratio is a bit much but it will be a great CPU for anything you throw at it! I was also able to get signed up with AMD rewards to get the free game...when it comes out in another couple months...

Recently upgraded from a Z390 9900k to a x570 5800x. 8/16 for 8/16, performance gains across the board with modern port assignments to boot and Gen4. Much less power consumption and clock for clock just decimated my old 9900k. Was lucky enough to get a golden chip (CTR cert) hitting 6100+ CB20 right out of the box before any tweaks and curve -25 to -30 across the board. Paired with a 3090 running like a champ with full BAR enabled.

5900x is near impossible to get and the 5600 doesn’t have the amount of cores I need. I was glad to be able to get this sweet card. It’s expensive and in terms of value isn’t as good as previous Zen 2 but it’s still an amazing powerful card.

PSU: Corsair RM750 80+ Gold
Mobo: ASUS TUF x570 Gaming+Wifi
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: ASUS TUF RX 5700xt
Review:
So far, it's been outstanding to see such an upgrade from a Ryzen 5 3600 to such a BEAST of a CPU!
Installation:
It was quite simple, I only needed to make sure my BI0S was updated to support the CPU, other than that it was pretty much just plug and play.
Notes:
Please remind yourself that the maximum (officially supported) RAM speed for the Ryzen 7 5800x CPU is 3200MHz. Unfortunately, I'm stuck using 4400MHz RAM, but it automatically slows it down to 2666MHz, so its still compatible, just understand if you want the BEST "0FFICIAL" supported speeds, make sure you get the right RAM!
TLDR; This is one great CPU
