Solid gaming/starting workstation performance.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very solid cpu performer for basic level workstation performance. if you want mid or higher go for a 5950x or a thread ripper. For myself I feel it gets a bit hot so be prepared to use a 360mm AIO cooler as I used a 240mm AIO cooler H100i and while it works pretty well I still get upper 60's mid 70c's during full load for me is a bit on the hot side on full load. with the 7xxx series out the price should dropped a good deal making it even a better deal if you want to a good performance to dollar ratio.

Excellent product!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first computer build! Bought this for my computer, which I have used for mining. It's been a learning experience as I knew very little about computers, other than how to turn them on on go to the internet and Office. The Best Buy staff recommended this as a top CPU for my RX5700 XT gpu. So far, after more than a month running non-stop (other than a 4-day break) the AMD Ryzen 7 has been rock solid! I've learned a lot since then, first and foremost that I should have just went with a mining rig motherboard, etc. But, when I do go that route I will probably take this out of my computer and use it for a rig.

Great cpu for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great CPU. I would definitely recommend if you’re not trying to do anything crazy besides gaming and maybe streaming I will say I was a little worried about the temp, but this chip tends to run a little hot so don’t worry if your temps are a little High about 35° Degree Celsius while playing games and about 28 Degrees just running

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been running this CPU for over a year now and it just performs. Runs all my games on ultra at 1440p paired with my 6900XT no problem. It multitasks like a beast and I can't praise it highly enough

Excellent CPU
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This CPU has no issue handling anything I throw at it. I upgraded from a 7th gen Intel i7, so the difference is night and day. Definitely worth the money and is a great choice if you don't need the power/can't find a 5900x.

Second to none
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AMD really hit it out of the park with the 5000 series. No compromises, hands down the best CPU for everything from rendering to gaming. Tip for those of us who really, really like efficiency: if you enable PBO and then set the PPT on this CPU to 90W or so you will lose ~5-10% multithread performance but zero single thread performance. Then if you fiddle with curve optimizer and can do -15 or so you can regain the lost MT performance... while using 2/3 the power. A nice side benefit is lowering the max CPU temperature on full load by over 10°C. Now if only they could produce enough of them to keep them in stock and at a decent price...

Unleashing Power and Precision
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just upgraded to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, and it's a game-changer! The 4th Gen processor with 8 cores and 16 threads delivers unmatched power and multitasking prowess. The sleek black design adds a touch of sophistication to my rig. Without a cooler, it allows for personalized cooling solutions. AMD's precision and performance shine through, making every task a breeze. Five stars for unleashing desktop processing excellence!

What I wanted
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really wanted the Ryzen 9 5900x but settled for this after doing research and found that the 7 5800x is more then enough if you’re using your pc for gaming only. More then enough threads and cores

Impressive CPU
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazingly impressive performance. Just make sure you get a good cooler, since the Zen 3 CPUs tend to run hotter than Zen 2. The 5600x has better price/performance, in my opinion, but I managed to get this with a 10% discount.

Powerful processor, just, mind the heat
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super powerful processor, great for multitasking, but absolutely requires a high end liquid cooling solution to be viable given how hot this thing gets. Also, even then it's best to look into using AMD's curve optimizer software in Ryzen Master to undervolt each core for best performance to temperature ratios. Doing so combined with overclocking has actually allowed me to hit 5ghz at points on two of my eight cores on this thing (not for extended periods mind you but that's fine the way overclocking works these days) and still stay under 80 degrees celsius. If you are looking for a Ryzen solely for gaming, I would actually recommend looking into a Ryzen 5 5600X. Temps don't get nearly as hot, and using curve optimizer with overclocking also allows for speeds up to 5 GHz (if you're lucky of course.) Either way, for gaming a 5600X is likely all you will need if using these options, and it's cheaper than the Ryzen 7. Or, go up one step to a Ryzen 9 if you're willing to shell out the big bucks for extreme performance. However, if you do a lot of multitasking, some gaming, and don't want to shell out for a Ryzen 9, this will likely work for you (especially when it goes on sale.)

Great Deal & Worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely money well spent, Im glad I have waited for the right time and it’s honestly the best cpu I have ever purchased my whole entire career building PCs. Other reviews may say “it’s only good for gaming” that’s false because it’s the best gaming cpu on the market for AM4 and you can use it for other tasks other than gaming because it works fine just like 5800x.

5800X rocks.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Any of the 5000 series processors are great. I had an Intel 10900K, this system seems faster and snappier. Games perfectly and with PCI-4 its has faster HD speeds which helps with game loading. Anyone who tells you the 5800 isn't a good processor doesn't know what they are talking about.
