"Downgraded" from a Ryzen 9 5900X to the 5800X3D and my frametimes and framerate improved drastically. In the Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker benchmark my score increased by nearly 9000-10,000 points. Highly recommend if you PC workload is strictly, or almost strictly, gaming. If you do other things with your PC, such as A/V production or compiling code you're better off with a 5900X or 5950X though.

Best performance for the price but runs hot and needs a separate cooler with quality paste and can be paired with a cheap motherboard and slow ram for a low end high performance system

Very good CPU. I've had no problems so far with the CPU itself after 3 weeks. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to CPUs themselves. The overclock seems to work nice out the box and it pairs amazingly with my gigabyte 2060 12gb GPU.

A great cpu! I wasn’t able to play gears 5 without frame drops, that’s until I bought this cpu! My gpu is a ryzen rx 6600 xt

Nice upgrade from my 1st generation Ryzen 5. installation was a snap. You must upgrade your BIOS 1st though.

I was dead set on upgrading to AM5, but with the cost of motherboards, DDR5, and new CPU I decided to keep my old platform. I paired the 5800x3D with a 4070ti and kept my old RAM and it is a great and fast system. The 5800X3D is an amazing processor for the AM4 platform.

Absolutely beast of a CPU, i have it paired with a ftw3 3080Ti and its a perfect match. Replaced my 5800x and not looking back. This will definitely hold me over till next year when ai transition into AM5 with the new wave of 3d cache chips.

I upgraded from a ryzen 5 3600 to the ryzen 7 5800x3d and was blown away by the results. I have it paired with an AMD 6700XT and play on 3440x1440 with an ultrawide monitor. Easily over 100 fps on ultra settings on any major title so far. Very pleased 10/10 recommend
