Definitely worth the upgrade from my 5900x. Only thing is make sure you turn on EXPO for your ram and make sure the timings are correct.

L3 cache makes this perform even better than the 9950x3D believe it or not. Unless you’re using your cpu for productivity then I would recommend you take this instead.
