I bought this once my 14th gen i9 started to fail. So far it has been amazing for gaming, getting more fps than my i9 did. I mostly game so losing the core count hasnt bothered me at all for all my other applications and much lower power consumption 100w vs 270w, both running at 100% utilization.

I switched to a 9800x3D from a 13700K with microcode failure...and WOW. Game to game, the difference is negligible...but connected to a 280 AIO, the Intel chip would hit 85-88 degrees under load. The 9800x3D rarely goes above 75. I have it paired with a RTX 4800 Super and I couldn't be happier.

This CPU is an absolute powerhouse for both gaming and productivity. Games run buttery smooth thanks to the 3D V-Cache, and multitasking feels effortless. Temps stay reasonable with proper cooling, and power efficiency is excellent compared to other high-end CPUs. If you want top-tier video gaming performance without stepping into workstation territory, this chip is the best choice.

Running perfectly fine. I have it set up on Auto OC and even then it is not overheating with my Hyper 212 Evo. Performance is as expected in games. No crashes have been experienced either.

Went from getting 200-280 fps in most multiplayer games to getting 330-450 fps. I also got big improvements in dlss performance. Definitely the best cpu to buy as of April 2025!!!!!

A great gaming chip, but runs hot! Make sure to get a solid cooler. Other than that no complaints!

As a competitive gamer, I need super high fps and this CPU pushes the limit. Almost double to triple the FPS from my old i7 11700k in CPU bound games. I play in 1080p 240hz low settings so in games where im not bottlenecked by my GPU (3070), I do not worry about my FPS dropping below 240.

Upgraded this from a 5900x. Pairs perfectly with my 4080 Super. So far no issues and stays cool with my current AIO.

This CPU is a major step up from the Ryzen 5 which I had for years. I am able to handle everything from High Def WOW to Arc Raiders with no issues.

Bought this with the rig strip b850 white for an all white build, no issues with install, been running for a month hitting great numbers on temps and fps, supremely satisfied. For a premium cpu, other than the 200$+ for the 9950, this is king for gaming!
