Overall it’s been a great pairing with a 2080Ti. The cooler it comes with looks cool but I recommend getting something better. My temps ranged from 70-80C with the wraith prism under load.

I really wanted a 5900x, but they simply aren't available at this time, so this was a good second choice. At this price, a Ryzen 7 5800x is probably a better deal for gaming, but I do a lot of rendering and the extra cores in the 3900x made this a better deal for the workload I care most about.

Drop it in and go with an x570 board or update the BIOS/UEFI and rock on with a 300 or 400 series board. Great speed, great multicore/multithread performance. With a very simple OC, I got a 7306 Cinebench r20 score. Plays really well with high speed memory (optimized performance at 3600Ghz running a fabric speed of 1800 - 1 to 1 ratio).

Great processor and the value was really good at the time of purchase as new products had just launched. So got a great deal. Is overkill for most people but is a capable CPU for gaming and workstation attacks like editing and rendering The included cooler is solid and gets the job done.

This is a great processor and it is fast. It was easy to install but the heat sink was a little difficult. I will eventually replace that with after market water coole no issues at all. If you have the money get it.

Game changer, Ryzen series is great, 3900 is actually more cost efficient (per core wise) than the 3950, both are identical except core and few other small details. Will definitely buy it again. Waiting for the price to come down a bit.

CPU works like a charm. New PC builders should be very careful when either installing it or taking it off and please either read the manual or watch a youtube video since it's very easy to bend the pins. Treat it like you're holding glass.

I got this cpu for the power so we can transcode HEVC for a media server. It works amazing. I can have up to 4 4K streams going and this will take care of it without making a lot of noise.

My first-time experience with AMD CPU and I believe I will have a hard time switching back to Intel. It is a great work-gaming balanced CPU which you will be satisfied both ways. Careful with the cooling though if you are building an ITX.

Amazing cpu with blazing fast response. This cpu turned this intel man into a AMD man! I use my pc as a media, workstation, gaming, rendering machine to run my channels, and this is hands down the best performance per dollar your going to get!

While not the latest Ryzen 9 processor, it still kicks butt! I use it with video editing and now between my upgraded graphics and now processor I have shaved significant time off of rendering times in Adobe Premiere Pro compared to my old Ryzen 5 3600x.

great CPU really helped out with speeding up everything from games to Blender renders, if you are on First Gen Ryzen and want to upgrade this is a SOLID replacement for the venerable 1700x

Don't buy the CPU expecting it to hit the boost clock, because it won't for the majority of users unless they are doing something like moving the mouse while the computer is in idle. And I should know because I have purchased 3 of these CPU's and not a single one has ever hit the advertised boost clock under any load. If you are gaming or doing things like video editing then expect a real boost clock of about 4.2 to 4.3 Ghz. But besides this the CPU is a beast during video encoding and plays games well. Hell I can even encode videos while playing games and not experience my computer bogging down like I did with my old Intel 6700k.

Performance per dollar is what amd is about and this cpu is great. Good price and good quality! Would’ve been 300$ more to go with something comparable to Intel so it was a no brainer to go with amd.
