Amazed
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazed I was able to purchase one. The lack of stock on this is a shame. Performance wise, it is worth every bit of the MSRP price. Not as great of a value compared to previous Ryzens due to a lack of an included fan, but if you are going for this top level of performance you should be buying higher end fans or liquid cooling anyway.

Glad I switched from Intel to AMD
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this AMD Ryzen 9 CPU. Sure it may be overkill most of my tasks. But it surely does run all of my games with no problems at all. This is going in my new PC build that will hopefully last me for a long time. I would absolutely recommend this CPU to anyone looking to build themselves a new PC.

Best
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to the Ryzen 9 5900X recently, and it's been a game-changer for my gaming setup. The sheer speed and responsiveness this CPU brings to the table have made my gaming sessions incredibly smooth. With its 12 cores and 24 threads, I'm seeing better frame rates and reduced load times across all my favorite titles. This processor handles multitasking with ease, which is great for when I'm streaming or chatting with friends mid-game. It's been reliable without overheating or causing any hiccups, even when I'm several hours into a gaming marathon. For anyone looking to keep their PC gaming-ready for the latest and future titles, the Ryzen 9 5900X comes highly recommended. It’s got the power to handle demanding games and the versatility for everything else. A solid purchase for any gamer!

For the price of 290$ you just cant beat it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Productivity and gaming performance are still really high even compared to the newer generation, so if you are still on an AM4 socket and want more cores I would go with this as long as it stays at its current price.

Better overall quality of life upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For what I have on my PC it works really well, usually I wasn't able to play many games simply because my previous CPU couldn't take it, now I can play those games easy

Crazy Performance
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This CPU gets the job done. I paired it with a 3080 FE which is probably a bit overkill but I think the performance is worth it. It does anything I throw at it with flying colors and then some. This is a great processor if you plan on doing heavy gaming, streaming, or work. I will mention, make sure your cooler is up to the task as this CPU can get pretty hot even on an 360mm AIO.

Amazing performance at the right price

FAST
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is really, really fast. AMD learned from their Ryzen 3000 launch mistakes and sandbagged their single core boost clocks to 4.8. With the right cooling this CPU will boost to 4.9-5 ghz on multiple cores all day. With the recent bios and AGESA updatse my sample can get up to 4.75 ghz across all cores, in lighter workloads.

A great upgrade, don't buy for a fresh build.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros, 1. A lot of cores and threads. 2. Supports PCIE GEN 4 for motherboard that also offer it. 3. It's fast for productivity, games and multitasking. 4. I got it when the price came down and Best Buy price matched for a lower price. 5. This would be a great upgrade for people currently on the AM4 platform running an older CPU. Cons, 1. It's now on a dead platform, but it still should be usable for a while. 2. With AMD and Intel having newer platform this wouldn't be a good CPU to buy for a fresh build. 3. If you're a content creator looking for the fastest or a gamer wanting a CPU that can push the fastest GPUs again look to the newer platforms.

Excellent Gaming CPU
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent gaming performance with an RTX 3080. Boosts over 5GHz single core with PBO enabled, stays around 4.5-4.6 in all core workloads. I didn't expect to see a difference between a 3900XT, but loading times are slightly faster, and there are less stutters. Microsoft Flight Simulator specifically runs much smoother. Only downsides are increased power draw and higher temps.

WowWowWow
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.More power baby. It’s the best CPU of 2020 until AMD ditches the AM4 socket. Regardless, you’re reading a review for a processor that doesn’t need to be over locked. It’s great straight out of the box.

Good do it all/ money no object CPU
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 5900X is a good "do it all" CPU. Work or play (albeit overkill for gaming) gets CPU workloads done quick. With liquid cooling, I've seen mine boost up to 5.025 GHz and maintain a 4.675 GHz all core. This CPU doesn't go on sale often but it's worth the wait for sales and you currently have a CPU that's 3 generations back or money is no issue.

Ryzen 9 5900x
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty well designed processor, I upgraded from a Ryzen 7 3700x. Definitely faster as far as video editing. Runs cooler than my 3700x due to the extra cores and not having to work as hard. Worth the money when it is on sale. As far as gaming I can’t say I notice a huge increase in fps as I play in 1440p but the fps is more consistent.

Best bang for your buck if you do more than game
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went from a 5800x to this. All cores peak higher than 4.8ghz. 5800x would have a few hit over 5ghz but others that were 4.7ghz. makes for more consistent performance no matter what I'm doing. Get some single color Corsair ML fans to go on your watercooler, make sure you have your bios set correctly and your temps should be low 80s.

It is awesome ...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 5900X is awesome - more than I will need for a long time . I used PBO to boost it to 5.0 Ghz and undervolted to 65 watt part - it uses a max 105 watts on boost and probably could clock higher - but I like it really stable - definitely got really good silicon on my purchase

Best CPU you can get if you can snag one.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best bang for buck 5000 series CPU available. This 5900x is a work horse. Handles gaming, video editing and my work applications with ease. Haven't tried streaming with it yet but I just use NVENC anyway, but I'm sure it could handle streaming like butter.
