This was a Christmas gift for my son who gave me very specific specs. It installed easily and is a lot faster than his older model.

wonderful cpu, thermals arent ever a worry with the 360 aio i paired it with everything is snappy and there barely any lag (none cpu caused) great performer i would buy this cpu again

Great for gaming and multi-tasking! The single-core performance is great for games (with GTX 3090). The 12-cores makes it great if you're multi-tasking or have computational loads that can make use of the extra cores (e.g. Mathematica, MATLAB while web browsing or watching videos). I considered the 5800x, but at only $100 more, the 5900x is the better value for 4 more cores.

Definitely appreciate Best Buy doing something to help curtail the bots that go after these items as they come in stock. Grabbed one last month and paired with a 3080 FE, works like a charm. Nothing I've done has stressed this CPU yet and that includes heavy gaming and video editing. Totally worth the wait.

Good product. Works excellent. Best Buy, has the best price. I made a mistake ordering from Amazon, they delivered an empty box. Amazon is refusing to refund. My advice to others think twice before ordering from Amazon.

This is the peak AM4 socket AMD CPU you can possibly get and it reflects. It is fast, it is smooth. I've thoroughly enjoyed the upgrade from the Ryzen 7 2700X CPU I had before.

Was originally going with 5600x but got a decent deal here so decided to jump on it so my ML side-projects can run more efficiently. I am still tinkering with OC with curve optimizer + PBO2 but the golden core is hitting 5.0ghz so as long as it stays stable after some stress-testing I won't try squeezing out the last ounces.

This is a fantastic CPU and I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about it. I did get this when it was initially on sale, but it seems the price has settled to what I paid as the usual (or it's always on sale now). Yes, it's the previous generation. Yes, it uses DDR4 memory. Yes it uses the previous chipset from AMD. And? Still phenomenal! It can run a bit hot, especially if you overclock it (which I do not). That said, you should still get a beefy air cooler or a water cooler to keep things nice and cool. This is on a Gigabyte X570s motherboard with 64 GB memory. Works exceedingly well and my only complaint is that I waited so long to upgrade.

I was lucky enough to purchase this CPU during a BB drop on 1/22. It was delivered on 1/26 via UPS. Installed into an Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero. Cooling with a Noctua NH-D15. Crucial 64GB DDR4-3600 CL16 (BL2K32G36C16U4B). EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra. Idle temps reported in HWMonitor is @ 30C and full load is @ 67C. Cinebench R23 Multi Core score 22400.

no complaints yet have had it about a year runs most games without any issues, have a 3080 and play mostly rist and have seen a huge frame increase since using a 3700x.

The latest and greatest AMD processor at a great value. The cpu is fast and is great for multitasking. It runs a bit hot on load but that is to be expected. No issues with this so far and on idle it stays cool around 35 degrees.

Makes my games run smoothly and sharp. The upgrade I needed for my PC.
