Missed this movie on the big screen and had been waiting for its release in 4k. I really enjoyed the movie and enjoyed the action sequences, which are many.

Doesn't compete with newer Bond, MI or Bourne movies but enough action to keep you interested. Good renter or get it on sale.

If you're looking for a sleeper movie, this is your film. Action packed, great acting and constant entertainment. Highly recommend in 4k!

An enjoyable action movie. Michael Keaton is intense in this movie and seemed to be channeling a little Clint Eastwood.

The movie followed the book to tee. The Rapp actor was very believable. I hope that we see many more movies following this story line.

Having read the summary of the original novel, it was clear that this film adaptation was updated for a more current scenario. Despite the changes, it was a very enjoyable film, full of great action and some good twists. There were some elements that were a bit hard to believe, but that's pretty much any flick these days. Overall I'd recommend it for those who enjoy spy/military thrillers.

American Assassin is a misguided and mind-numbingly mediocre espionage thriller that practically runs through a checklist of clichéd plot devices while also feeling familiar to every movie of the subgenre. Amazingly, Michael Keaton delivers an exceptional performance that stands alone against his two costars, a frustratingly annoying Dylan O'Brien, who is meant to be the story's hero, and a terribly drab Taylor Kitsch. It's not even worth watching simply out of curiosity or for Keaton's performance. Though a couple minor flaws keep it from scoring higher, the Ultra HD takes aim and comes close to hitting its mark with a gorgeous 4K presentation in Dolby Vision HDR, offering a marked improvement over the Blu-ray, and featuring the same excellent Dolby Atmos soundtrack. In the end, the overall UHD package is a risky bet while the few fans out there will be more than happy, so give it a rent first before committing with a purchase.

Starts with a bang (literally) and develops the plot pretty well. Plenty of gratuitous violence for folks like me.

Good to see that Micheal Keaton still has his good guy ,bad guy mentality intact. Still alot of good action .
