This is one of those UHDs where the picture and sound quality really shine, but unfortunately the movie itself leaves a lot to be desired. It has some nice action moments but it never really gels together and by the end I didn't really care what happened.

Missed this movie in the theater sodecided to buy it when I found it on sale for 3.99 during Best Buy's Black Friday sale online. I must say it was much better than I expected it to be. Great action and believable effects. Great movie and even better price for Blu-Ray and digital Copy!

The movie has loads of action. The sequences are fun and a different take on the spy series you normally see. Dylan O'Brien delivers a great performance, as does Michael Keaton (but who is surprised by that honestly).

Has plenty of action and also demonstrates what singleness of focus can bring on when revenge is involved. Revenge is the goal, Nothing Else Matters, this movie really demonstrates that.

American Assassin has two very good actors, Michael Keaton and Dylan O'Brien. Enjoyed both actors outside of this movie, and they both work well in this movie. Lots of action and a compelling story. I would definitely watch this again!

Good action movie but violent. I would not recommend this to younger people or to these that are squeamish. My Wife came home while I was watching and declined to watch it fully after seeing what I was watching. Good Film though.

If anyone is a fan of movies like Born Identity, supremacy, ultimatum est. Then this movie is right up there. It reminds me of a movie Colin Farrell did back in the day with Al Pacino call the Recruit. Definitely worth every penny.

Big fan of Taylor Kitsch...I will watch any movie he is in. Good action movie with enough twists and turns to keep the viewer interested. If you like action movies like most of us, this is a good one.

This is a pretty good movie in all respects. It is fairly violent, so be prepared for a several grisly scenes. I did not see it at the theatre, but the 4K version is quite good and it looked superb on my large screen TV.

If you enjoy movies like Die Hard, Jason Bourne, John Wick, Taken, etc. - you'll enjoy this movie. I do enjoy those movies, and I did enjoy this movie. It is exactly what it sets out to be, an entertaining action flick.

I'm cheating here a bit. Haven't watched the blu-ray yet, but watched it in the theater... Good movie! Nice flow, pace changes with the story. Not overly predictable. Enjoyed it! I will update once I check out the special features.

I suppose when ever a movie like this is made the producers hope they can make sequels. For that they did not succeed, but for a single action packed revenge drama it's better than many.

No Oscars for this film, but it's a guilty pleasure of mine. It's a CIA, Cat and Mouse, Revenge film all rolled into one. Don't over think this film as you'll be disappointed, just sit back and enjoy the action ride.

I was hoping for more from this, considering the Vince Flynn/Mitch Rapp series is so good. However, I realize that starting a film franchise based on a long-running book series is tricky. However, the movie was still enjoyable.

One of the best movie, is like collector’s item. Full of action, good acting by Michael Keaton and Dylan O’Brien, very entertaining. I am happy I bought this original Copy of Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital

A young man on vacation who gets engaged to his girlfriend and gets hit by terrorists shooting guests at a beach resort. He survives but his new fiancé doesn't. Wanting revenge for the people responsible, he begins training to be recruited as a CIA operative.

The original books in this characters' series is ALWAYS better. Too many times the script writers change/modify/drop certain characters or details of said character in the original story. Still not bad, for a start...

Looks like they may be gearing up for another franchise - isn't everybody these days? This is a well done spy/action film and Michael Keaton adds the proper weight to completely legitimize the story and movie.

I just had to check it out. I thought it was going to be a silly movie, but after viewing it I ended up liking it more than i thought I was. Michael Keaton is viscious in this and is the reason worth watching it.

as with many steelbook editions of late there is some great artwork but package is not complete where is the 4k disc some past releases come with a choice with or without 4k still a solid package for those w/o 4k
