An interesting, light-hearted look at a circa 1958 California small-town teenagers' night before many of their lives change following summer post high school graduation. George Lucas combined 1950's era pop music with street machines cruising the town while weaving the conflicts and mischievous vignettes of several recent high school grads. Lucas accomplished a first with a music soundtrack blanketing the bold color scheme of documentary style shooting. Thanks in large part to cinematographer Haskell Wexler's keen visual work. Today's audience may find this a "boring" movie. It is a story you have to engage and stay with to have a chance to enjoy.

This is a throwback movie. It kind of remind me of the movie "Valentine's Day" where there are a bunch of different story lines going on, but set in the 1960's. This has a bunch of classic actors like Richard Dreyfuss, Harrison Ford, and Ron Howard.

Been wanting to see this movie for a long time on Blu-ray. Now I finally had the opportunity to buy the Blu-ray. It's a nice classic by George Lucas set in the early 60s era and focuses on some friends, a lot of classic cars, cruising, and women. The bonus feature is rich in detail on the making of the movie.

Love that I was finally able to get my hands on a copy of this! If anyone ever wondered where many of the “Star Wars” actors came from, this film holds the answer.

A great coming of age story with a terrific soundtrack and cast!

This is an old favorite film. GREAT CARS , Great 50`s music. A reminder of how times have change.
