The idea of doing a movie about Barry Seale was good, but this movie missed the point on several levels

For me, Tom Cruise is a hit or miss actor, depending on role and film. That said, his leading role in American Made based on a true story had me gripping the edge of my seat the whole ride through. Makes for an excellent film overall, almost plays like a documentary — with Cruise’s voiceover often narrarating — and 4K makes everything better.

This true story is really amazing. Both funny and also sad in seeing the poor choices that some amazingly talented people allow themselves to fall into. If you saw this movie when it originally came out, you will like it even better seeing it in 4K with HDR. Mind blowing image quality.

A little disappointed with the film...expected much better. Graphics were good though....

Usually I like Tom Cruise movies. I own several of his movies. This one is average.

It’s Tom Cruise. There is nothing else that needs to be said. The movie is about a father who basically starts to fly drugs for a popular drug dealer! Get this movie

Great movie. Tom Cruise did an excellent job of portraying Barry Seal. I lived in Baton Rouge when he was murdered and it was in the news for ages. Never actually knew much about him and this movie put it all together. Great performances, soundtrack and flying scenes. Loved it!

Very interesting and entertaining movie based on a true story about an airline pilot who gets recruited to the CIA and the complexity of trying to create / support rebels south of the border by essentially doing illegal activities involving drugs/money/guns and how the short lived success catches up with him in the end.

Been waiting for this movie to come out on DVD wasn't able to see it at the movie theater. Definitely well worth it now it's on DVD. Love drug/monster movie. Story plot was amazing. Well worth the money. GREAT MOVIE

I collect anything with Tom Cruise in it, but this one is extra special. Thrilling all the way through ... but ALSO an important story based on real life. I recommend this for my classes in American Government and Criminal Justice.

We saw the advertisement in TV when it came out to the theaters & decided we wanted it when it was available in the store. It’s really good & the fact that it’s a true story really made very interesting. It has everything in - comedy, action & drama. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I can just about always count on Mr. Cruise to deliver an entertaining ride and American Made is no different. The Blu-ray isn't the best I've seen, but it gets the job done and could've turned out far worse. Get it on sale and it should be a nice addition to any collection.

I thought Tom Cruise was teriffic in this movie that was based on a true story. How our Goverment let him fly in drugs and guns that allowed him to have such wealth and power. I would recommend this movie highly

Excellent movie, on the technical side the disc has great 4k video and audio quality. I was overall surprised by how entertaining the movie actually was, as far as I know the subject matter has not been filmed before by Hollywood. After I watched the film I loaned it

It’s a ok movie . Kind of long and starting losing interest

A pretty interesting story (based on real events) with a lot of humor. Cruise basically plays himself in this one. Sort of a cocky, smirking guy that everyone likes. Smuggling drugs for the CIA for fun and profit. On the taxpayers dime. Kind of a downer ending but worth a look.
