Great Movie about Chris Kyle, who became the deadliest marksman in U.S. military history. Unfortunately his tours of duty take a heavy toll on his personal and family life and how he could not leave the war behind and how he manages to handle it . Excellent acting by Bradley Cooper. American Sniper is a truly great cinematic experience.

This movie does not only tell the story of the Navy Seal hero Chris Kyle, it is a realistic look of the life of navy seals members on the battlefield and trying to adjust at home. It also gives a personal look at the trauma that spouses often suffer as they adjust to the loneliness and stress of the family both on the battlefield and return home.

Chris Kyle is undoubtedly an American hero. And "American Sniper" brilliantly depicts Kyle's devotion to serving his country and protecting his fellow soldiers. It also captures the effects of war on our service members and their families. Bradley Cooper delivers a memorable performance. And Clint Eastwood continues to impress as a director.

Excellent movie. The cinematography and delivery of Clint Eastwoods idea clearly came through. Chris Kyle was truly honored with this film. One small gripe. I bought the DVD with digital copy as a gift. I don't buy DVDs anymore. I uploaded the digital code onto my VUDU acct., it is only 720p resolution. I recommend buying the Bluray edition.

I like this movie; the acting was so good that the actors seemed to melt into the characters they portrayed. After awhile, it felt like watching someone's life happening in real time. There was an emotional connection with the characters, their ideals, and a sadness about the course of events surrounding this young man's life.

I went to see this movie when it first came out. It's very clear to me that Chris Kyle looked to protect fellow soldiers against enemy threats. i also thought Clint Eastwood did a fantastic job to captured the effects of how family members deal with multiple deployments.

American Sniper tells the story of the deadliest sniper in American History, Chris Kyle. Bradley Cooper does a stunning job portraying Kyle. The movie is simply incredible. It gives the viewer a glance of what our service members sacrifice (particularly Kyle) as well as what their families sacrifice. I would definitely recommend this film.

One of the best movies of the year. It had me so involved from the very beginning to the very end. What an absorbing movie and so true to life. A man who gave his " all" to this country only to be gunned down in his own country. Bradley Cooper portrayed his character to the nth degree. A very strong performance by a truly excellent actor.

Clint Eastwood really brought not really a war movie but a movie that shows struggles during and after the conflict. Bradley Cooper absolutely nailed the role for sure. The guy did a great portrayal and brought to life a man whom was seen by his peers as larger than life but always felt he was just doing his part. A job well done indeed.

I loved this movie because it's based on the true story of Chris and Taya Kyle and what an American sniper goes through in war and what his family goes through at home! The ups and downs of being an American soldier's family and the heartfelt way that Taya chose to share her family's terrible tragedy of the murder of her husband, Chris.

I enjoyed American sniper, and feel that it portrayed Chris Kyle accurately according to his book. It is somewhat unique as a war movie because it explores the difficulty of multiple deployments on family life. I don't feel it was politically motivated or a propaganda film at all but acuratly told Kyle's reaction and views of the war.

This is a great movie. Very dramatic. The actors make you feel their emotions. What a sniper has to do for his country is something that goes against everything we are taught morally and takes its toal on that person and his family. But we need to defend our freedom. This movie lets us see and feel what a lot of our soldiers go thru.

This movie gives an up close idea of what it takes to be an American soldier as well as the best sniper, ever. It also shows us what being an American soldier goes through during his assignment and what it's like to be away from home. The soldier's home life is documented and is probably very similar to any soldier that goes to war.

I viewed this with a family member. It showed the heartfelt turmoil a military members must go thru to survive and then attempt to reintroduce their self into civilian life. Excellent acting and a great portrayal of a military member's life who learned and then did what was necessary to survive the harsh duties of the armed forces.

What a great movie. It has all the elements one requires in a movie. It has action/drama/suspense/love and the fact it is a true story as well. Clint Eastwood did a marvelous job here. Bradley Cooper is off the charts here. Everyone has heard of this movie by now. Yes, it is everything you have heard (the good things) and more.

American Sniper is an excellent movie. The storyline is great. It's a well written account of Chris Kyle's life while serving his country and the last years of his life. It's a sad movie but very powerful and it will move you. The acting is terrific, especially Bradley Cooper. Clint Eastwood did a wonderful job directing too.

Another outstanding film by Clint Eastwood! The story about Chris Kyle who went on to become one of the finest SEAL's the Navy has ever had. Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller demonstrate top-shelf acting taken from an equally top-shelf script based closely on actual events. You must see this film!

I waited a long time to get American Sniper. I missed the theaters. The 14.00 price at Best Buy was the lowest price in our area for the DVD. I did not need Blue Ray. I was able to use 10. in rewards coupons, so my cost was 5. in the end, outstanding. My wife can't complain about that cost for an important movie like this one.

Having heard so much about this movie, I wanted to see it for myself. What an intense and emotional movie. Was on the edge of my seat for the entire movie. Eastwood is such a quality director, anything he directs is bound to be well done. Cooper did a great job portraying the main character. Will definitley watch again.

This film is much deeper than the brief scenes of war that were depicted. The internal struggle that every warrior goes through after seeing and living through the atrocities of war affects each of us in a different way and some will carry their burdens to the grave. This film does an excellent job in bringing that to light.
