This is a reference quality video presentation from Warner that looks superb. Images are visually arresting and have a rich dynamic quality that highlights its near flawless rendering of detail. The video has a three dimensional and razor sharp clarity that never left me wanting. The visual design features a limited color scheme that is aesthetically mated to the subject matter. The storyline was very moving and emotional.

Watching what Chris went through both professionally and personally in order to secure the freedoms many take for granted, I'm so honored to know we had someone like him in our military. It's a shame for all he did for our country to have his life end as it did in home soil. His wife is one strong woman to endure what she did, past and present. She is a good role model for the military wives to help in their struggles too.

This is hand down one of the best movie's ever produced. Clint Eastwood direct's this movie about Chris Kyle and his journey through several deployment's in the Middle East only to come home and be killed by a fellow Marine. This movie is a must have for anyone that LOVE'S AMERICA. They also brought this movie out just in time for "Memorial Day" in honor of all those brave men and women we have lost throughout the year's.

Good acting and camera detail work. Would recommend.

After all the hype, I was fully prepared for this movie to portray Chris Kyle as a superhero. He was; he was an excellent shooter and he did his job well. I wasn't expecting him to come across as a sympathetic character. But the angst he showed about the choices he had to make, his loyalty to his teams, and the redemption he sought by helping other vets did help me view his story with more compassion than I expected

This is a good one. Good picture and sound quality.

This movie shows the horrific underbelly and the pathos of war through the eyes of a man trying to balance his duty and responsibillity as a Navy Seal sniper while struggling being an absentee father and husband.. Bradley Cooper brings honor and respect to the life of Chris Kyle through his dramatic portrayal.and shows the range of emotions many of our nation's protectors unfortunately experience in times of war.

American Sniper, in my opinion, is the best movie pertaining to the Iraq War. Many of the locations and visuals were depicted realistically and were blunt reminders of my 2003 tour. I've watched the movie twice now and darn it, I always get something in my eyes that draws tears at the end. Technically, the film looks stunning on blu-ray although I wished the dialogue sounded louder; audio never seems to be balanced right in any action movie and the sound of explosions are always five times louder than any scene depicting a normal conversation. My only knock with the purchase was that the so-called digital version of the film could not be downloaded from iTunes, which means I cannot keep a copy of the movie stored directly on my devices---and I was assured by a store associate that I would be able to when I asked before making my purchase.

Clint Eastwood directed. Bradley Cooper does a good job of becoming Chris Kyle, and spent time with the man prior to his untimely death/murder for the film. Package includes blu-Ray, DVD, and digital copy formats. Includes a couple "making of" features as special features. Wish the movie followed the book better, but this is a fitting (if not idealized) tribute, and great modern war story.

I enjoyed this movie. There are some liberties that were taken in making the movie in order to make it more "exciting", such as pitting sniper against sniper (which never really happened), but it holds true enough to engage you in the reality of war and to give you some background on the deadliest marksman in U.S. history. The irony is how he passed away after enduring the rigors of the Iraq war.

This is one of the best movies I've ever seen. As an Operation Enduring Freedom veteran I was happy to see a movie that is about the toll that war takes on members of the military and their families and while some come home emotionally & mentally they don't completely come home. If you are caught up in the politics of "anti war" or "war is American" you've completely and totally missed the point..

It's rare to see a good solid movie that actually achieves exactly what it initially intended to when it was made. American Sniper does just that. No political slant, no over the top action sequences, pretty good job in technical accuracy. While there is some intense action sequences this is not an action movie. Its an honest depiction of how multiple tours of duty affected this man and his family.

American Sniper is an epic movie -should've won an Oscar. Bradley Cooper does an outstanding job in bringing Chris Kyle to life. What a hero and a what a tragedy to have lost him. The life of a military family is highlighted - we have so much thanks and gratitude to shower on all of these heroes. Not for children under 14. Language pretty rough, but realistic, I'm sure for war time.

Yes I love this movie because I understand his struggle I identified with what he is going through because I'm a retired disabled veteran and I been to Iraq and all veterans need our prayer, love and support because we come back home looking whole be we are not whole mentally so I know our family and love ones look at us as we are the same person that left before war but we are not.

This is one of the most intense movies I've see in quite awhile. Bradley Cooper gives his best performance ever, and Eastwood delivers as a director in a spectacular fashion. This film definitely shows why every American needs to be as supportive as possible to our troops, and why need to pressure our government into making sure that this nation's veterans' services are as stellar as could be.

This movie is much more than just another war movie. It has laughs, it brings tears, it has the family impact and involvement as well as exciting edge of your seat war scenes that are as real as they get. It also shows the brotherhood that soldiers experience on the front line. I highly recommend this movie. It is well worth the money and a worthwhile addition any adult's action collection.

American Sniper is more than just a film about war. It is the story of Chris Kyle and his journey through 4 tours of duty and the impact the war had on him and his family. It really does a good job showing how war can not just effect the soldier but his family and friends. Bradley Cooper does an amazing job playing Chris Kyle. The film was well directed and it really touches you. 5 stars.

I honestly knew nothing about this story till after the movie was released. I really liked the way they portrayed the characters and the guy who ends up killing Chris, was not in the movie with nothing more than a bit part. This movie is about a great american and the way he lived, not about the way he dies. The closing credits did make this 43 yo former soldier cry though so be warned.

American Sniper is a fantastic depicting of what our military and their snipers had to go through during our war in the middle east. It takes a special breed of person to be a sniper, but one that our military cannot live without. The scenes in this film will be burned into your brain for some time. It is a must see. Give your appreciation to our military for what they had to go through.
