I think this movie hit home for every American. It is just a wonderful, eye opening, heartfelt, sense of duty type movie that reached everybody in it's on way. This is hands down one the the best films Clint Eastwood has ever taken part in and I mean absolutely earth shattering real life truth. I love it and have watched it multiple times already. Truly a work of art. DaVinci's best.

American Sniper is one of the best war films out there for today's audiences. Bradley Cooper brings an incredibly moving and emotional performance as Chris Kyle. The story transitions between putting viewers into gripping and terrifying scenarios following Kyle on duty then into heartbreaking family moments. It's a must see for everyone to experience the incredible life of Chris Kyle.

I had not heard about this story before seeing the movie. Upon seeing the movie I was amazed at the story - the action - and the development of the main characters so that you got close to them. The hero is just that - a pure American hero - his story SO warrants being told for what he has done for our country. Sad ending - but this movie is a tribute to him that shall last forever.

Loved the movie. Great inside glimpse into what our service men go through. It's easy to comment from the comfort of our chairs which their service allows. No one should utter any disparaging comments about service men and women unless they have walked in their boots and experienced what they have experienced. Thank You to all of our Vets. Captivating movie, it has lots of action along with drama witch really draws you in to this riveting true story. Some movies there may be lulls in them, not this movie I was glued to the screen the whole. The other thing that I really liked where the extras witch explain in more depth the true story and has interviews with the real people the movie is about.

I normally don't judge a movie based in the hype leading up to it. So I was a little apprehensive about buying American Sniper versus renting when it was available to do so. Boy was I fooled!!! This is one of the greatest movies that I have seen in a very long time. The only regret that I have was not going to the theatre to see it and foolishly waiting for the DVD to come out.

This is a great picture and will be one that we watch over and over. The pre-ordering process went very smoothly and we received our package right on the date we were told. I have been very pleased with each item that I have pre-ordered, whether having it shipped home or going to the store to pick it up. It is good to know that Best Buy always stands for good customer service.

Clint Eastwood is one of the best directors out there. So there is no surprise that this is an exceptional war drama/character study. However, the real surprise comes from Bradley Cooper. Ever since Silver Linings Playbook, he has been showing his acting-chops. With this film, he becomes Chris Kyle, proving even further Cooper can act. He has come a long way from the Hangover.

the emphasis here is the strain our hero in uniform endure while serving our country. Their sacrifices are not recognized enough, and the sacrifice families have to endure is also too often not recognized properly. You have to look past the artistic additions to the story and realize this is more than two hours in time, it continues over the entire deployment and return home.

I'm glad that they made this movie. It shows the emotions that one can go through when involved in a war. Torn between his country and his family this individual made the right decision for himself. I know this movie is exaggerated from what is in Chris Jules book and actually happened, but Clint Eastwood can sure pull off a heck of a Great War flick. Brad coopers and sienna millers performance are right on spot with what you could pick up from the book also so all around fitting tribute to Chris Kyle. Every person should have a copy of this in their movie collection.

This movie is one of the best war movies in the last 10 years. The acting and production matches such movies as "The Hurt Locker" and "Zero Dark Thirty". The movie is a true story that I followed in the press when it was happening. Excellent performances from a superb cast led by Bradley Cooper.

I have to say, this film will give you a gritty look into the life of soldiers overseas, let alone what Mr. Kyle was able to accomplish and do in our post-911 era. This film is a testament not only to him but to all those soldiers whom do come home and have to deal with many problems like injuries and ptsd, as well as those whom don't come home. A Great Movie based on one guy in the military. Love the fact that it was based on true events and a real person. Looks great on the big screen at home on Blu-Ray. This movie is not for the faint at heart but a great collection for all the military fans out there. Once again just happened to get this on sale at $14.00 Got this for a friend that's a retired veteran.

I'm an Afghan veteran who doesn't enjoy watching military movies. I wanted to puke when I watched The Hurt Locker. But knowing the Chris Kyle story, this movie got my interest, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Bradley Cooper will never be able to match the performance he gives here. This movie is authentic in to the book in every way. I'm grateful for this movie.

Although the book (as usual) develops the characters and feelings far better than a move can, I applaud Clint Eastwood and Bradley Cooper for the phenomenal job of adapting this to the screen. I don't think most folks who read the book will be disappointed in the embellishments made in the film adaptation. Well worth the purchase and inclusion in your personal library.

This movie tells a story of an American hero and the effects of war on him and the people around him. We see the struggles that he has with his life at home. You see two different sides of his life at home and on the battlefield. I wish there was a little more time spent with his recovery process and how it helped him, his family, and the other suffering soldiers.

This is simply a great movie. It centers on one person's life. And shows how all the lives around him can be affected by his experiences from war. It also shows how that person can be affected by war. Even though he was one of the best soldiers he still had a heavy burden. Thank you to the soldiers who have lived this and will live this for us.

It's not always that you find a movie that is both great and based on a true story. American Sniper is one that should be at your top of the list. it is both a war story and a love story. It also teaches some lessons about what goes through a persons ' s mind when they are put under the mental pressures of war. How some come back OK and others are changed fore life.
