This movie is one of the best horror/comedy films ever made. The story is interesting, the characters memorable, and the special effect by the great Rick Baker are stunning. Comes in a really cool metallic looking slipcover as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

For me, one week it's Joe Dante's The Howling, the next its John Landis' An American Werewolf in London. That said, this disc offers the best home video presentation the film has ever had, and some great special features. Recommended!

The new transfer looks amazing on this, and the sound is bumped up from the previous version. I seems to have the same features as the full moon edition, but it looks so much better. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the original cut scenes have yet to make their way back into the movie. Best werewolf movie ever made, it's a must see and an all time classic.

This is still a pretty good watch considering how old it is. Some of the acting and attempts at humor come across as cheesy. Didn't care for the lead actor at all. The special effects are cheesy at times too, but you have to give them credit considering these are "real" effects not CGI. So overall it's a good movie and looks good on BluRay considering it's age.

I wish Hollywood still made movies like this. You know ...original, fresh, fun with genuine horror and hilarious comedy with practical effects by a master. Didn't even try and find a better deal I just bought it right there.

A clasic that never needs to be remade. You can not go wrong with this movie. You can not go wrong with this one. and the wolf looks great.

This movie was in need of an upgraded transfer and universal knocked it out of the park with this remastered release! The only thing i couldn't figure out...why go through the hassel and then not put it out on 4k?

This is such a classic film that I can't say enough about to convince you to watch it. Just go watch it. It is a great example of what humor combined with practical effects can deliver in a great way.

One of the best werewolf movies there is it’s amazing and the werewolf transformation scene is so cool I highly recommend this movie for any horror fan out there

Is this scary or is this funny? It's both! And, in Blu-Ray, it's very good as well. This was the first film to win an Academy Award for makeup special effects in the newly created category for the Oscars. I think it holds up very well to this day.

The definative werewolf movie. With the perfect mix of horror and humor. This movie is an absolute masterpiece. The Steelbook itself is a major upgrade from the one that was released a few years ago. But it could use a better finish. The matte finish makes it look and feel cheap. But for the price point I'm reluctant to complain.

Let's face it, this is a classic movie. Aside from the crystal clear print in this version, the extras are outstanding. Great steelbook packaging as well. This is a no-brainer - pick it up.

Universal did a good job with this Blu. It is loaded with features and the image quality from the new scan is a step up from the previous blu-ray release. Highly recommended and the price is incredible.

This is widely regarded as the best werewolf movie of all time. Worth it for the transformation scene and great soundtrack. Also insane ending. Steelbook is just the origal cover art though.

Having had the previous blu ray that was very grainy, I jumped at the new version that touted a restored picture. What a difference! The 2016 version has a much cleaner look and is definitely worth the double dip.

Got this for my husband because the last time he tried to find it he couldn’t. Glad I was able to find it at Best Buy!!! Arrived quickly and he was THRILLED!!!

This is basically the same version on DVD but restored to a much better and cleaner video experience. I watched the DVD version prior to purchasing the new BluRay version and the restored version is clear and not grainy! I would have liked to see the removed scene where the three junkyard bums get slaughtered but no such luck. Maybe in a later version.

Love this pickup. The movie is a classic and I got it right before Halloween when I’m always looking for horror movies. With s sale price of $5.99 and being a steelbook, I couldn’t pass this one up.

When I saw this horror classic received the bluray treatment I had to get it. I was not disappointed. If you are a fan of this movie or just a fan of horror you really need to have this movie in your library
