Not a great movie. Boring an unoriginal. Not worth spending money on.

I've never been a Will Ferrell fan, but everyone kept telling me I needed to see Anchorman else I couldn't make that claim. Now I have seen it. I am not a Will Ferrell fan.

I am sorry I bought this dvd. I could not even finish the movie as I was just angry over the immorality shared in this movie. Please don't buy this movie.

Will Ferrell leads a comedic team of news anchors who strive to bring the breaking news first. The chemistry between Ferrell and Christina Applegate is flawless and the jokes still hold up to this day! A comedy classic I highly recommend!

I'm one of the few people who think that Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is very overrated. That said, I can take it for what it is enjoy it every once in a while. What drives this movie are the characters, and the cast. There is so much improv that it's hard to tell what's scripted and what's off the top of their heads, but keeping that in mind makes it easier to brush off the missed jokes. Trust me, despite what fanboys say, there are missed jokes. This movie has the maturity level of a middle school kid. Fortunately, the hit:miss ratio leans more towards the hit side though. I have to say that the Theatrical version is the best way to go. Will Ferrell is one of my favorite comedians since his days on SNL. Steve Carrell has earned his place on that list as well with his role on The Office. Paul Rudd is getting there, and honestly David Koechner plays the same character all the time. I think Christina Applegate was good in her role too. What I love most about this movie are the endless cameos. Possible spoiler, but we get Jack Black, Seth Rogen, Ben Stiller, Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Fred Amisen, and best of Danny Trejo. The cameos are awesome. As for the Blu-Ray disc itself. It's a great buy. The extra content is unbeatable. This thing is really loaded with features. Not only do you get extra content on the discs, but tangible stuff as well. It comes with "The Many Months Of Ron Burgundy", which is an interesting little book loaded with stupid notes Ron wrote to remind himself. I laughed a couple times, but not much. It's more of a keepsake anyway. The other thing is a pack of cards (that I will never open). I think it's ten cards. Each card is for one character, and it has their info on the back. The discs themselves are stuffed. I won't list everything because you can look it up, but I highly recommend this Blu-Ray set. Not just for the movie itself, but the whole package. The Movie I'd give a 3/5 The Video a 3.5/5 The Audio a 4/5 The Extras a 6/5, if I could.

anchorman is one of the best comedies to come out and it is by far Will Farrell's best movie. I personally have been waiting a very long time for this movie to come out on blu ray and could not be happier to finally see it arrive.

The first time you see it, you probably wont find it that funny. Watch it over and over though, and you discover the layers of jokes you missed. EVERY single line spoken by Steve Carell in this movie made me laugh, truly one of the funniest movies ever made, and worth owning on Blu ray. Best Comedy of the 2000-2010 decade in my opinion

I had caught this film on pay cable when it came on in 2005. Surprised me I liked it. At the time of release, it was original idea for a film I thought. It is the ONLY Will Ferrell film I like where he is the lead character. Now of course EVERY ear he does a similar film like all the sports films basketball, NASCAR & ice skating where this good Anchorman idea keeps being repeated. The cast were perfect in their roles. Did NOT need Luke Wilson though. Unnecessary. And, I do NOT like the Wilson brothers. Now, the DVD package it's. I expected more since it is a "Unrated, Uncut, & Uncalled For!". 1. Has those HORRIBLE little flaps tat are a pain & terrible to have to open up. 2. NO chapter search list or any information on the film inside. Good soundtrack for the film

This is probably one of the funniest movies I have EVER seen. It is just ridiculous. The best is the fight scene between all the anchors of the different stations, featuring Ben Stiller and Luke Wilson, as well as others. Awesome movie, I loved it from the moment I saw it...man, has it really been FOUR YEARS already??? Just as good as ever! Steve Carrell is genius, and Will Ferrell is wonderful (too bad all his major movies since then have been based on this same formula).

While this is a good movie it lacks when compared to other movies will ferrell has made like taladaga nights, elf, and step brothers, to name just a few i am a big will ferrell fan and i think hes at his very best when the character he's playing is more sympathetic with the exception of the campaign but if hes playing someone who is just a jerk then it's not as funny to me i am also a fan of his dramatic work as well like stranger than fiction and everything must go.so while this isn't a bad movie at all i feel it's far from his best work probably because hes gotten so much better since then.

In San Diego, this is revered. Not that it is consistent with the locations or observes some regional diction (there is none - most everyone here came from elsewhere) But, it is a great, silly comedy. And finally - a high def release that has Wake Up, Ron Burgundy! It's a Shame that because foreign markets play such a huge role in revenues that a sequel will never be made. Also, everyone's salaries would be stratospheric. So, I understand, but I lament.

When first watching the movie it may not be as funny as others, but watch it a second time and you will be laughing histerically. It is a great movie to quote and you will be sure to get a few laughs. I have seen it at least 10 times and it seems funnier everytime. I would definately recommend it if you want a good laugh. It is in my top 10 comedies.

will ferrel and the whole cast of anchorman are hilarous, one of the funniest movies ive seen in a long time, and even better is this rich magony blu-ray boxset, it has 3 different versions of the film, tons and tons of extras, character collectible cards, i highly reccomend this to any will ferrel fan

For the most part this movie is side-splitting. There were times where i had tears in my eyes for laughing so hard. I have to admit though sometimes i wondered about some of the humor but overall i loved it...Watch it...And oh, when the part comes where the guys tries the cologne and if you don't laugh, you should probably check your pulse!

No matter how cheap this is, you are doing yourself a disservice by buying the plain Jane release and not getting the "Rich Mahogany Edition" that is a Best Buy exclusive. Before the time of Blu-Ray, when the additional film "Wake Up, Ron Burgandy" was released on its own disc in a two disc combo pack, most already had the movie and ignored the gem of an add on in the form of an entire second film. After the print run ended, those copies of "Wake Up, Ron Burgundy" were fetching inflated prices on eBay. I have the "Rich Mahogany Edition" and I don't regret it. At $24.99. it averages to $12.50 per movie and for Blu-Ray, that is a great deal. To sum up, pass on this version and get the "Rich Mahogany Edition" instead.

I love this movie whole-heartedly. It's brand of humor matches my sensibilities so well it's almost scary. Will Ferrell is perfect (as is the rest of the cast). The writing is snappy and every time I watch the movie I notice a joke I missed before because I was laughing too much.

I went to buy it the next day it came out; there was a mistake for the price which in the website it said it was 9.99, but at the local store they had it at 24.99... they matched the website price and I got it very cheap! It's one hell of a movie and the extras are excellent as well... BUY IT!

Boo: Anchorman Blu-ray is a Best Buy Exclusive so I couldn't buy it anywhere else. Yay: Bought it on the day it was on special. Double Yay: I could buy it online for instore pickup at my leisure within 8 days of purchase. I didn't have to make a special trip to the store to get it same day.

I have to be honest that I didn't want to watch this movie at first, but once I saw it, man that Will Ferrell is crazy. Christina Applegate is still amazing, but the rest of cast is just plain silly. Most of the Frat Pack members make cameo it the funniest part of the movie...Battle Royal
