Downside: heavy and could easily slide off of an old or very worn A/C wall receptacle after plugging in. No worries if you plug into new wall receptacles. Love that the A/C prongs swivel in to hide and protect them. Highly recommend this product BUT just don't drop it because something breaks inside and the prongs then don't swivel together to hide away but it will still work.
