Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a great and convenient charging dock if your average playtime is equivalent to the stock battery life of roughly 3 hours. Unfortunately, this is where the convenience stops. If you intend on using any power bank / external battery with your quest, I cannot recommend this dock. There are currently no compatible magnetic cables available through Anker nor any market that connects to the dongle included with this dock. Therefore, you would have disconnect the dongle from your quest, connect your external battery, and vice-versa everytime you play or charge your quest. Unsure if this was an intentional design choice. However, I know Anker has received similar suggestions regarding this, so hopefully we will see a solution soon. In the meantime this dock will have to stay in the closet.

I have been using this dock for maybe almost a year and the only complaint I have is that is doesn't have a standard way of shutting itself off once your headset is charge. I did buy a smart plug to turn off the dock completely once my headset is fully charged.

In order to use, it requires installing a small metal contact into the USB port. This prevents using the USB port for connecting to the PC. This is probably fine for most people, but doesn't work for my needs. Worse, one of the rechargeable batteries for the controllers will not charge. The batteries are also too big. They are ever so slightly bigger than an normal "AA" battery, make it surprisingly difficult to insert them into the controllers. I'll replace the rechargeable batteries with another brand that fit better. I will make this work for my needs, but I think a lot of casual users will find the battery situation makes it too frustrating to be worth the hassle.
