Does not work as expected and overheating issues

We have numerous times checked that the controllers have been placed properly on the Charging Dock, making sure that the charging ports on the Battery Cover and the Charging Dock connect properly but we still get a blinking light and no charge. We checked that the battery has been installed as instructed and made sure the contacts on the battery case are touching the metal tabs on the batteries, still only blinking lights and no charge. On our last use the left controller became extremely HOT, so hot we could smell it. No longer feel safe using this.

If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
- Take off the controllers from the Dock for 5-10 minutes, then put it back again. Making sure the battery and controller are set well, and no movement when charging.
- Check if the battery covers and the pins on the Dock are damaged
