Maybe i got a defective one but it never charged. The lights came on but it never did an initial charge to even let me test if it worked with my phone.

Initial setup, this device takes some time till it's fully charged. There is no pouch with this model. Thinking to go ahead and take it back for a refund, or just exchange it for a new one.
