Not for an iPhone!

I asked a rep for help and told him my son needed a box for an iphone charging cord. He recommended this and I bought it for my son. Sent it to him only to find out it's not meant for an iPhone! Frustrating that sales ppl don't know their products .

This USB-C charger can work for an iphone, but you may need to connect a USB-C to Lightning cable to it. If you use the original USB-A to Lightning cable, you'll need a USB-A wall charger instead.

Can get hot when charging

If possible, please try the following steps to see if the issue persists:
- Let the charger sit for 5 min without being plugged into the outlet and without anything plugged into the charger itself. This resets the charger and might solve the issue.
- Try another cable and a different outlet.
- Try charging a different device.

I asked the sales girl for a new block. For the Samsung galaxy phone. Apparently Samsung wants to be like iPhone and sell everything separate. She came to me and bought me 2. I didn't think anything about it. Because she worked behind the booth that sold tmobile phones.
