We bought this for an 8yr old. It is simply so impressive. Think of it as a small, personal Wall-E. It simply works on every level. Funny, cute, clever and allows your kids to learn cause and effect programming. The app is great too. Once my child grows, the SDK can be downloaded to take it to the next level of programming. Awesome!

Cutest thing ever, well designed app and device. Facial recognition makes it feel more personal. Pet detection is funny too. Fun games, it grows and learns new games, abilities, songs, and other fun stuff the more you play with it. Kids will love this, adults will get a real kick out of it. Hopefully they make add-on products that can be used other than the different color tread pack.

Grandson was fascinated by this product, when he saw it on T.V. It is truly hard to review it's performance at this point, since it is a Christmas present for him. Thus, has not been opened, yet. However, if it performs, as seen on T.V., I am sure that I will be glad to have gotten it for him.

Lots of features packed into a small package. The face recognition is great as are the ability to play games. If left alone, it can amuse itself. The only issues I can see is it needs to be used in a controlled environment where it won't fall into the floor and not be around people and children and pets who are destructive in nature. I got this for a good price on sale and I really feel it was worth the regular price, but hey, saving money is always good too.

My son loves Cozmo. He recognizes your face, plays fun games and will even talk to you. A lot of personality packed into a little Wall-E-looking robot.

Cozmo is an amazing robot with a personality unmatched by any toy a great way to have a little fun for any age his games are fun and interactive and if left alone he keeps playing and singing by himself he won’t roll off an edge going forward however watch out when he backs up he could back off the edge pick him up and he gets upset and wants to be put down no toy could ever match the fun with cozmo

My kids love this robot. I got this for my 7 year old and it became the #1 toy in the house for both my boys (the other is 4). Whenever they "wake" him up, simply by connecting to the robots wifi and opening the cozmo app, they both let out a screech of "COZMO!!!" - it's almost as if the thing has become part of the family. I've been in the IT field for close to 30 years - I understand this robot is just a peripheral and the real lifting is done through the computing power of the tablet that the application runs on. That's ok with me. It's well thought out - and not bound to it's own internal computer power (it has very little in that regard). This means the robot is going to grow over time as the application gets updates, and the possibility of third parties doing programs could be endless thanks to Anki deciding to release it's own SDK. There is even talk of a kid friendly design program coming out - which would be great for the younger ones. One thing - make sure you buy batteries for the Power Cubes. They have a 20 hour life. Luckily the ones Anki decided to pair with the device are fairly cheap considering what the alternatives could've been. They are N-cell 910A LR1 batteries. You can find them in bulk for as little as $11 for 20 batteries. Also - make sure you are using Cozmo in a well lit room. It helps with Cozmo's recognition features. As a side note - I also purchase Overdrive from Anki - another great tech toy (albeit a little limited with just the starter kit). I have very high regards for both the products they have out and look forward to seeing what else they release in the tech toy market. Two home runs so far.

I bought it in store about 3 months ago Here are some my review: Pros: - Set up was fairly simple and painless, and I was able to start playing within 10 minutes of taking him out of the box. - He’s a robot, but it’s easy to feel like he has emotions. The animations that his eyes play, and his subtle movements really go a long way to make him feel more realistic. Cozmo will nudge you to play with him, bring a block up to you and ask you to play a game with him, or even act upset if he can’t accomplish what he’s trying to do. - There are only two games that you can play with Cozmo right now, and he gets better the more you play with him. However, there really needs to be a variation as these two games can get tiring easily. - Cozmo has an “adventure” mode, where you can drive him around like a remote control car and see things through his point of view. This is one of my favorite features of his. - The companion mobile app gives you daily goals to motivate you to interact with Cozmo more. I’ve found that this is mostly why I’ve been play with Cozmo day after day. Cons: - You interact with Cozmo by having the app open, and it is only when the app is open that Cozmo is “alive” and roaming around. This feels really inconvenient for me. I imagined that I would be able to just let Cozmo roam around as I did my own thing, but this can’t happen unless the app is on at all times. This also makes it impossible to takes pictures or videos of Cozmo while playing with him. - The app connects to Cozmo through Cozmo’s own WiFi network, which means you have to disconnect from your correct Wifi / mobile network, and pair with Cozmo. This has prove inconvenient in many instances. Sometimes my phone is still connected to Cozmo and I forget about it, causing my phone to not have internet without me remembering why. Other times it’s simply a hassle to have to connect to a new Wifi network every time I want to play with Cozmo. I wish he was connected through Bluetooth instead. - The 3 cubes that come with Cozmo aren’t rechargeable, so I’m worried that they’ll quickly die without any way to replace their batteries. - I’ve only spent about 2 hours total with Cozmo so far, but it seems like I’ve already unlocked all his available features and games. At first I was very engaged because I wanted to help him unlock more moves and get better at games. However, now that all the moves have been unlocked, I’m less prone to interact with Cozmo.

I bought this for my 7 year old son. It was the main thing he asked for this Christmas. I was reluctant, not thinking it would be that interactive, but it definitely is! It can learn faces, play multiple games, and sing. You can control it or leg it explore the environment. Pretty cool gift! The price was reduced a couple weeks after I purchased it. All it took was a call to Best Buy, and I was issued a refund for the difference. It was super easy! Great buy!

We bought this for my daughter and she is enjoying it very much. There are quite a few different games that it can play and you can always simply drive it around as well. Expensive but it seems worth it.

This is great, even for smaller kids, to get them interested in science and technology! Very entertaining even for adults. My wife is not the biggest fan of robots and I have won her over with Cozmo.

Bought this for my 7yo birthday. He has seen many videos online about it and knew most of what it could do. Once he started playing with it we all thought it was cool. When setting up the robot it has you put in your name and it scans your face so anytime it sees you it knows who you are and says your name. Really cool toy that keeps learning as you play with it. I was concerned about the cost at first but after seeing my son play with it, it was worth it.

This is definitely one of the better robots on the market right now. Kids love it and it is an educational toy, so I'm ok with it too. App could use some improvement, but overall a great buy.

I purchased this for my 14 year old son who really wanted it for Xmas. I was hesitant because it was pricey for such a tiny "toy" but I was quickly won over on Xmas morning. Cozmo can recognize your face and call you by name - impressive. My son likes to play games with him using the included blocks. I love the music that accompanies the app for controlling Cozmo. He's very cute and lifelike and before you know it you're talking to him like he's the new pet.

My son wanted this for Christmas, and he was thrilled to open it Christmas morning. He loved that it can learn his name and thinks it's funny when Cozmo gets frustrated or mad when he loses. It kind of reminds us of Wall-E when he speaks. For the money, it's not a toy that gets used a lot in our house, but when it does, it's loads of fun.
