I purchased this movie along with "Red Sparrow" - I haven't seen any female Russian spy movies before, and these two seemed of high quality. Truth be told, I thought Red Sparrow would be amazing and this would be a "copy-cat" movie, and not nearly as good. Truth is, this movie was amazing, and Red Sparrow horrible. The movie bounces around with different timeframes, so you need to be on your toes and paying attention or you'll get lost, but if you can track the timeframe of events in the movie, it is definitely worth the two hours to watch.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this one. Some said it's a poor man's John Wick wanna be. It's clearly not, it's more along the lines of Bridget Fonda's Point of No Return. Anna is a well done, well acted movie with so many twists and turns. The timeline back and forth kept looking like it was going to make a good movie into a muddy mess, but it worked.

The movie without reading any of the critics reviews, just a hunch that it would be good because of Luc Besson, I made the right choice on purchasing this movie in 4k. Lots of suprices in the plot, the actress' acting is spot on, and alot of other veteran actors, especially Helen Mirren, Cilliam Murphy and that guy that portrays Gaston on beauty and the beast 2019. They portrayed all the characters well. Very very good story. Action is superb. Buy it!!

Very well made female lead movie. If you can get past the suspension of disbelief ( you did with John Wick right?), then this is a very interesting spy agency thriller, with a enough twists and turns to keep watching to the end. It was slammed by many critics, but I sincerely believe that critics can be very wrong, so their reviews should not be entirely used to keep you from seeing a movie. If you're a fan of female spy thrillers, or John Wick, it is my sincere belief that this movie will fit your needs.
