The movie starts off a bit slow and then becomes vey dark. It's an excellent period film. I'm glad I took the chance on picking this one up as a blind buy.

I found it okay for a bit of history about where this Anabelle doll came from in the Conjuring movie. However, it does not give us a full explanation as to how it ended up in the private collection of the exorcist couple. In addition, I didn't find it as scary as The Conjuring.

This was a great movie. I really thought it would be better.
